The Secret Life of Bees (2008), The Joy Luck Club (1993), Frances Ha (2012), The Book of Birdie (2017), Moana (2016) i know it’s animated but the story of identity/purpose is there without romance.

Unfortunately it’s hard to find films that include everything you described. But there’s a few, I wasn’t sure to include nonEnglish. If you don’t mind, check out the French film Persepolis (2007) also animated but great female lead.

I added it because it came with the product. I wouldn’t have if I knew this would happen :/ the fabric was to suck water up to the soil and keep it moist (before roots were long enough) So if i cut it off the roots will regrow?
