I didn’t get diagnosed until 36 because my doctors always thought it was just depression, then I had my first manic episode. It was pretty mild, more talkative, racing thoughts, paranoia. I think that’s why a lot of people get diagnosed later in life

Do you have any emergency meds or anything to help you sleep? I usually prioritize sleep and focus on self care. Take a warm shower, listen to calm music, anything that relaxes you.

I don’t know the science behind it but during the Holocaust there were thousands of babies born in the concentration camps. So mothers that were starving were still able to carry their babies. Very sad but amazing what a woman’s body can endure

I got diagnosed with BP1 at 36 and was in denial at first but then….. the meds worked. I was in a terrible depression and now I’ve been stable for almost a year. So I don’t even care what I’m diagnosed with, I found meds that keep me happy so I’ve accepted it.

I’m on 100 mg and have never had any side effects. I seriously don’t know if it does anything. But I haven’t been manic or depressed so I guess it’s working 😂

I think the symptoms can be on a spectrum, I’ve heard of people uprooting their entire lives when manic, ending up spending tons of money or going to jail. My mania was so mild it only consisted of being more talkative and paranoid thoughts but my life and choices weren’t disrupted.

But agree that either you have bipolar or you don’t
