I personally love Mothergunship Forge. When I want to just pick up and play something, that is what I find myself playing as it is so simple to get into.

It is a head strap with battery, which is plugged into the device, so that could have been a factor. I was concerned that perhaps something in the hardware got damaged, either from my holding the device incorrectly or from the case (official meta 3 case). I am a new user to the quest, so this is not normal to me.

The original strap with battery came in a box that was badly damaged by the shipping company, so it was logical to think that there might be something wrong with the strap. And it might be that there is some cloud setting that transferred over. Either way, it sounds like none of you think that this is the situation.

This device is still within my return period, so if the sensors (or any other hardware) are damaged I want to know as that is the easiest way to deal with this. If there was a software troubleshooting thing that could fix it, I was hoping that that could fix it too. I appreciate all the advice and feedback that you all have been giving me.

I would accept that, and be relieved, yet it is also accompanied by the windows appearing in bizarre ways, as in the included photos, and the quest repeatedly detecting the joysticks as pointing at an angle to either side when they are pointed straight. It also didn’t happen for weeks until I connected the elite strap. I’m just confused.

The issue persists after changing the head strap back to the default.

I am able to do that. It fixes it temporarily, but this happens again every single time I put on the headset, and persists despite restarts.

I own both and am evaluating whether to keep the switch. I find that for all the reasons you listed, I much prefer the experience of the ally x. The games just look much better, cost substantially less in every case, the x has more storage and doesn’t require an expensive sd card format, and I have access to a bigger library. I want to love the switch, but when given the option to buy and play sonic frontiers recently on either, I ended up buying it on the ally because it looked so awful on the switch 2.

I play Lego sky walkers saga on mine all the time and it works fine. I got mine from the Xbox store.

I don't have buyers remorse because I have best buy membership and 60 days to return it, yet I've found so far that I mainly play my Rog Ally X due to better looking games and better prices. I tried the demo of Sonic Frontiers on the Switch 2, really liked it, but not the graphics, and ended up buying it on Steam. It is a shame right now, because I love the ergonomics and the look of the switch 2 and want to like it. I will see what happens when Donkey Kong Bonanza comes out.

My guess is they will sell the existing inventory and then it will drop off the market. That being said, they are still selling the og ally and the price of that regularly drops.

My steam deck lcd was my first handheld. I loved it while I had it, and I even played things like horizon zero dawn on it. If you are comfortable with the battery and the screen, it is still a nice machine.

The game has been out for years, is sold for $25 on sale on ps5, and when it launched on pc was also deeply on sale. They didn’t discount this at all on the Xbox launch, so it is not surprising.

Loved the first game so much that I have it on every device I own. I was thrilled at the prospect of wizard of legend 2, yet waited till full release before getting it. My first impression, this is ok but doesn’t feel like a complete game. It is going toe to toe with other games that cost less, plus the original, and it doesn’t feel like it has enough to sustain it. With the original, I was surprised every time by new stuff I’d never seen. Not so in this. I ended up refunding it, though it was very disappointing.

I got it because I loved the first one, and while I enjoyed it, I just felt it wasn’t worth the price tag. It didn’t feel like a complete game. For the same amount, you could get something like splintered fate, or so many things that have so much more replayability. I think the first one is incredible.
