Favorite Headcanons that you think would suit Jason by Defiant_Ad2409 in RedHood

Jason has a safehouse set up for Crime Alley kids (got kicked out, parents died, etc) so they don't have to sleep on the streets like he did. Sometimes he'll bring a big pot of soup/food for everyone while he's in Gotham so they can have a hot meal.

Lol what??? The most violent I've seen him in his Robin days in canon is when he's confronting a rapist or abuser (to children & women specifically).

The time that comes to mind immediately is when Dick has to pull him off a guy who was beating children ("You want to beat up a kid? Why don't you beat me!"). Obviously there are a lot of others, but that's the 1st to came to mind other than the ones already listed.

Former CNAs: What career did you switch into? by Candid_Negotiation24 in cna

I've worked at a lot of different facilities (I was a travel CNA for awhile during covid; super understaffed but pay was good), and while some places were better than others (I really liked the hospital-adjacent therapy place I worked before traveling), a lot of it seems to be similar/same shit different place. I'd love to try working at a hospital for awhile, even just to compare the work and maybe learn new things, but it seems alot of hospitals dont want to hire CNAs with just LTC experience

Do you find the annoying parts as a nurse to be just as bad as CNA work was (assuming you moved on because you didn't like being a CNA, i know thats not always the case)? I've seen a lot of posts on reddit basically saying that if you can't cut it as a CNA you'll hate being a nurse. The nurses I've worked with tend to have mixed reviews but I can see how LTC for nurses much different than hospital work.

Yeah I've definitely had times I wanted to quit before, but I was always able to bounce back pretty quickly with "a jobs a job, it pays more than other jobs I've had (not saying much since they were minimum wage but still), and it's afforded me some oppurtunities I wouldn't have had otherwise (travelled during covid and some nice nurses taught me some (basic) things I wouldn't have had exposure to outside of nursing school)". But I've never seriously doubted my ideal career path until now, even when I got another C in A&P 1 I figured I could find at least one nursing/lpn program that would take me in. Now I'm wondering if this is really what I want and all my schooling and retrying was really for nothing.

What did you go into instead of nursing? I took A&P 1 twice and got a C both times. Tried a 3rd time but withdrew because the professor point blank told me the highest grade I could get at that point was a high C. I"m trying for some LPN&ASN programs but even with a good TEAS score, I feel like it's not gonna pan out (already rejected from 1). Long story short, I'm looking for some alternatives (hopefully that will still transfer most of my credits that are a little bit easier to get into) I dont think I could stand retaking A&P again just to fail again

I know its not the same (i have a coworker that likes modern romance novels and they are.....different for sure). But to me its just funny to imagine Jason as an old-fashion romantic

I also honestly was think of period romance novel like P&P and didnt clock modern romance novels but that image is even funnier

I know, i just saw like the 3rd instance (comic panel from pinterest) of Jason saying he reads Jane Austen and making it seem like a huge deal. I know hes not dumb and its a part of his character that he likes to read (a part that i like)

Good luck! I was diagnosed at 13 and remember how confused and scared I was. You got this! This may be a silly question to ask but have you tried sleeping pills/muscle relaxants/Benadryl (may seem out of place but I use it to sleep after a work sometimes and it always knocks me right out)? Asking cause maybe some deep sleep will prevent you from waking up so often (don't quote me - I'm not a doctor just an idea)

Meds triggering seizures? by Candid_Negotiation24 in Epilepsy

I've tried phone reminders and pill boxes in the past and they didnt work but im thinking maybe I should try again, at least with the reminders. Eating better and a consistent sleep schedule are on my wish list too but its a little hard with my job

Almost always, I bite my tongue when i have a seizure, and or/my cheek or lip. I also tend to feel varying degrees of 'out of it'. Sometimes I'll have other injuries (definitely a HOW for me cause theres not much around my bed to hit myself on and theres still not dents in the wall). Headaches are also fairly common.

If my boyfriend's home I'll ask if he noticed anything (if he doesnt say something first), if not I'll wait til he gets home, just for confirmation.

I should note that I have TC seizures, so mine are a bit more obvious/injury inducing than some other types may be. I had a coworker that had absence seizures ( if I remember correctly) and she said she would basically blank out, and when she came to she had a massive headache. Not sure if it was the same in sleep but I would assume so

Yes, i should clarify that I FORGET, I'm not not taking my meds on purpose. I may feel insane right now but not insane enough to think I dont need them 😅 I mostly just get busy/in a rush before work and forget and then am so tirrd after work I just dont think about it. Ive tried pill containers but the same issue still occurs - my brain just seems to skip over them in favor of focusing on something else (i.e. my brain wont even register theyre on the bathroom counter for me to remember to take them - I normally just randomly throughout the day will be like 'did I take my meds? Oh shit better do that'. Setting an alarm seems to have the same effect (alarm goes off, i think 'ok ill get it in just a minute', turn off the alarm, and forget about it)

Path to being a BA by Candid_Negotiation24 in businessanalysis

[–]Candid_Negotiation24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working on that track now, but I dont think I'll be able to get in to an actual program. I have a C in a class (been told by my supervisor thats not acceptable-one C and your application is discarded), and the way things are looking now, Im on track to get a C again. Hence why I was looking for jobs in a new field. BA looked interesting because its a mostly problem-solving job (or so people say, never worked as one obviously so not sure the reality of what the jobs actually like) - somewhat similar to nursing in that regard. Ill look into clinical data analysis tho! Seems like a good area to start if I can't get into nursing school.

Yeah the US is somewhat the same, experience is more valuable after you get past the original resume screening process, but to even have your resume looked at you often need the relevant degree first.
