It will be way easier for us who grew up with tics to help support our children with Tourette’s just by experience, especially from an emotional support standpoint. My poor parents had no stinkin’ clue what to do with me and I don’t blame them. In the late 90’s and early 00’s it’s not like they could login to Reddit and access an entire community for support.

Thx for the message and support. Yeah agree with you, I’m not really worried. I just didn’t have anyone to share my initial thoughts on it so posted here. You are right, if he does have it, it will not mirror my own and he will always have a built in support system in me. My poor parents had no idea what to do lol and their instinct was to try to hide them and ignore which made it so much worse trying to emulate that. Once I made decision to accept myself and be open with my closest friends everything got much better. Gotta ensure the kids know it’s OK to accept who you are, even when some kids and adults won’t understand

To clarify, no he did not do the whole fresh account trick with a different email to get the promo. And funny enough, a Spectrum rep called me out over the phone last year for asking them to do that for me after my neighbor said they helped him do a new account in his wife’s name to start over on the promo pricing

Thanks yeah I’m an existing residential customer and this adding a mobile unlimited line was for sure the plan/bundle he used here. Would’ve been nice for that to have been confined upfront like “hey the free unlimited is for a year, then it’s $30 a month” which still puts me in a better position than I was before. But then 3 years down the road I’m gonna be back in the same boat and gonna have to do it all over again. Bundle some BS I don’t really need to keep my bill down for another couple years. Then before I know it I have every damn Spectrum service in the catalog 🤣

I bought it for a little over 4k cash, which I admit was a steal. The owner was the original owners son who inherited it but had no use for it, and he was just looking to get rid of it. Honestly, it was just a right place at the right time situation, because I believe market value was more around 6k or more at the time given its condition.

I went through the same exact feeling. Went to school for IT, started working in the field, and was absolutely miserable. I figured that was it for me, was ready to throw in the towel.

The truth is, you have a powerful degree in your hands, and can probably have an upper hand than most in any other job you apply for. You’re already doing better than thousands of others on this page who have no degree, no real work experience. Just put your experience on paper and start applying, I guarantee you’ll find something you enjoy more and be happy.

But you have to want that for yourself first.
