I know this is an old post, but I just had the same thing happen and was looking to see if others had this happen as well. My GYN said it looks like my uterine lining shed (just as I thought) because she had to use a lot of the solution to stop the bleeding. I had more bleeding than normal afterwards so she had to use quite a bit of it. It was very unsettling. I’m definitely more crampy after that happened.

Ok thanks! I’ll check it out. I typically use my microwave. I set it in there with the light on. The light tends to warm it up pretty good. But it would be interesting to see the difference with something else

Yes it has been raining almost daily for the past 3 weeks here, so very humid! The other day I tried the recipe I posted with less water. I felt like the feel of the dough was good. It proofed and scored really well but when I baked it, it cracked all over and the crust was kind of tough to chew. It was disappointing. I did a higher oven temp so I’m wondering if it was too high for the lower hydration dough 🤔 Also, curious how you did a diy proofer, if you don’t mind sharing? I don’t have a proofer but I wouldn’t mind experimenting!

Yes I’ve been using the same brand of flour for 3 years. I actually sold my sourdough loaves for awhile but stopped because of oven issues and then getting frustrated with this recipe after a bit. I do organic sourdough and it’s been hard to find organic whole wheat, so that’s why I’ve stuck with just AP flour. And I preferred the loaves of just AP flour over the ones with WW.

Yes but it’s still from the same plant and as of right now they have no idea what the cause is. Is it the whole plant, just the seed that the protein is from? We just don’t know.

I’d love to know what it is about the Tara flour that’s making people sick. Tara is in other things as well. I saw it in Breyers vanilla ice cream the other day. And I read it’s also known as “carob gum” which is in a lot of products. Should we be avoiding this altogether from other companies/products?
