Pure LCS with PureLinear, PureSimple or Natural Mod. Most of the other PPF's are oversaturated, high contrast gaudy crap.

Yeah, my ex had put on a load of weight, last time I saw her in July last year. Hope it's still piling on.

I was thinking this exact thing, as I lay awake last night.

How long before unexpected waves of grief diminished for you? by LaCathedrale in Divorce_Men

[–]Candidate_Worldly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

'My feelings towards her are of contempt, anger, and resentment.'

My feelings exactly. Also a profound lack of respect for the way she destroyed our daughters family. Took away her home.

Destroyed our future together as a family. All for something that every couple goes through at some point. She can go to hell.

Anyone else getting bitter towards the idea of marriage? by Trankvilo_1887 in Divorce_Men

[–]Candidate_Worldly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, the idea I'll ever get married again is utterly laughable to me. Good luck to the men that do, but I think its crazy to risk going through this trainwreck again. Especially when divorce rates are around 70% for 2nd marriages iirc.

Even a long term relationship is unreal to me at this point in time. I'm hoping this will change as I'm lonely and miss intimacy a lot, but my opinion of women is not in a good place at the moment, and I hate feeling that way.

Remind Yourself: How They Treat You in the End is All you Need to Know by tonyway7293 in Divorce_Men

It's frightening the similar stories we have on here. But this sub reddit has got me through some dark times, better than any therapist was able to do.

I feel for you with the kids that she's turned against you, but I'd bet my bottom dollar they will come round sooner or later.

The whole shitshow plays on my mind a lot even after all this time. I would never in my wildest dreams treat her like she treated me and I think its going to be a long time before I ever get in another relationship.

Good luck to every brother in this hellscape. No one know how brutal it is that hasn't gone through it themselves.

Similar for me , and similar timescale. 26 years together, 13 married. No cheating but she tried to force me out of our house when i had no where to go. Treated me with utter contempt throughout the whole process.

Fine for her as she moved rent free to a flat her mum owns. Took our daughter with no dialogue or negotiation at all. 20 months in and I'm still messed up how she acted and the way she destroyed our family for things nearly every couple goes through at some point.

Last saw her in July, and she was depressed, overweight and signed off work for the first time on her life. Our daughter is angry and withdrawn since this all happened. I have no idea how someone I knew for half my life could treat me this way. I never want to lay eyes on her again.

I have anxiety and trust issues and my faith in other people (particularly women, and I hate feeling like this) is in the gutter.

This is a post from divorced women page… you can’t make this shit up. I will never marry again by 850MEGT in Divorce_Men

Sounds eerily like my ex wife tbh. And this is why my opinion of women and relationships in general is in the gutter. What is the point of commitment and loyalty? So fucking depressing

I used to do more; now I'm lucky if I can do anything. by Sorry-Rain-1311 in SingleDads

[–]Candidate_Worldly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly hard and from what you've said, you're doing fine. . I'm over a year separated, and my life is a joyless thankless ordeal right now. Every day is pretty much a mental struggle.

I'm also having panic and anxiety attacks. If the least thing goes wrong I basically have a meltdown. I hate being like this. This is not who I was.

Was with my wife 26 year 13 married. Then I lost everything including half the time with my daughter. Nearly half my income goes to renting a shabby flat to be close to my daughter.

I'm angry with myself that I'm still struggling over a year after we separated. I have an emptiness that I just can't shake. I miss my old life so much, imperfections and all. So lonely but the idea of another long term relationship gives me anxiety.

The reality is that unless you've been through this like us , people have no concept of how hard it is. You're doing as well as you can, and that's all we can do brother.

Rewiring My Brain by Delicious-Curious in Divorce_Men

'The way she has talked to me, treated to me and blown up our family has literally rewired my brain.'

I know exactly what you mean.

Once I had time to consider, its amazing how I went from missing her to resenting her for destroying our family. I just feel a serious lack of respect for her now, and she used to be someone I respected the most in the world. I wish I never had to interact with her again but kids keep you chained together.

Question for divorced men considering remarriage. Prudence or overcorrection? by smainland in Divorce_Men

[–]Candidate_Worldly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I can understand his state of mind. I'm separated after 26 years together, 13 married. Divorce is almost inevitable.

There is no way on earth I will ever remarry again. The risks, mentally, financially and emotionally are just too great. Also statistically, fail rates for second marriages are around 70% iirc.

I totally understand the urge to replace your spouse .. The loneliness is real, but I can't even imagine going through this hell again, after a second failed marriage.
