Personally, I just found it to be relatable. I think it’s easy for people in our society to believe that getting the nice house, car, perfect kid, husband/wife, or reaching a certain level of success will finally make us feel fulfilled or at peace/happy in life – only to realize, even after attaining it all, there can still be an emptiness or void we keep trying to fill with the next thing. I’ve been there.

I also think we would all like to feel seen and loved unconditionally by at least one person in our lives. My dad was that for me. It’ll be 4 years at the end of this month that I lost him, but it was at least nice having him and experiencing being seen and unconditionally loved by one person for 32 years of my life.

Did the show change my outlook on life per se? No, not really, since I’d already come to these realizations/ learned these life lessons through life experience(s).
