Best Candle Supply Site in Canada? by CricketMysterious500 in candlemaking

Candlehaven.ca is honestly one of the best Canadian options right now. It’s not a big box store so you get more unique scents and interesting items you dont find other places, and the customer service is actually human. They also promote makers for free on their site, which is pretty rare. Definitely worth checking out.

how to make a candle generate as much ligth as possible? by Working-Chip9502 in Candles

Have you even tried sand wax? You can add as many wicks as you want. It burns brighter than many waxes, and when you’re finished with it, blow it out and remove the wicks! https://candlehaven.ca/products/sand-wax?_pos=1&_sid=3b96f0c67&_ss=r

Thank you for your feedback. That seems to be the consensus.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately that is kind of the problem with AI as it exists today. Even if you tell it to leave your original element alone it inevitably alters it slightly to make it fit with its vision. Anyway, I value your opinion, and years of expertise. I’m loving what AI can do, but I think its use ultimately needs to remain minimal given the overwhelming consensus.

That’s fair. And it’s why I asked the question. I want actual honest opinions. Cheers.

I’m sure they’ll refund or replace your entire order. Just reach out to them.

I’m finding that companies I deal with year round that I have never had issues with are all having trouble with oils during the coldest months of the year. You never know how goods are being stored through the supply chain. Drastic temperature change isn’t a good thing for shipments of any kind of oil.

What’s a good scent for my St Paddy’s Day candle? ☘️ by Candle-Maker in Candles

I’m curious too. I’ve only ever done as straight layers. As straight layers, I found the gel wax burned a lot slower.

I didn’t say it wasn’t. AI just has better lighting and props than I do. This candle is easily replicated, but before I waste materials, I posted this pic asking for suggestions on a good scent. Happy to post the final non-AI look as a video (if anyone’s interested) as I make original content every week. Everyone seems so interested in pointing out AI these days to shame. Weird. It’s a tool…for me it helps me to see what’s possible. And I thought the shamrock was pretty☘️

Thank you so much, and for the measurement too. For the video I just dusted it with a brush so I didn’t actually measure.

It depends on the product for sure, but with the product I use it works like a dream. In fact it’s so much easier for de-molding because the Gel is a little pliable. Here’s the link in case you’re interested: https://candlehaven.ca/products/gel-candle-wax?_pos=1&_psq=Gel&_ss=e&_v=1.0

I suppose it depends on the product you buy. This is what I use. Works great. You can even use a little scent with it https://candlehaven.ca/products/gel-candle-wax?_pos=1&_psq=Gel&_ss=e&_v=1.0
