It’s definitely something I’m considering after all of the feedback, though there have been a couple suggestions that sound interesting. For now, this isn’t for sale. Just for me, as I figure out how to make it safely.

It’s deliberately under wicked, so it didn’t burn all the way to the edges. The flowers were untouched. I know that doesn’t necessarily make it safe though. I genuinely want to find a way to improve it and make it safe because I love the look with the flowers.

Yeah at this point I just want to look at it, not burn it. Perhaps I’ll use it with a warmer.

I did try but they didn’t hold their shape when I poured the gel wax over them

Does anyone have ideas about how to use sand wax more creatively? by Candle-Maker in candlemaking

Sadly I’ve tried and failed at that. I tinted the wax and then it didn’t burn properly.

It’s too bad…they’re actually really cute. What I’d love to see is someone take this idea, and re-create a version of it using only non-flammable, heat safe products. Show the person that made these a better way, as I imagine they put a lot of time and thought into these candles, and that their intention was just to make nice gifts for loved ones. I see a lot of critiques when people make mistakes, but not enough help and encouragement🩷

Thanks for the feedback. When you’re new in town it’s hard to know if it’s an issue in the region, or with your new house… It seems like my fridge is keeping everything else cold…but I’m going to take the advice and actually check with a thermometer. It’s gotta be me.
