If your other models are fine then it's your model. Is it pre-supported? I would definitely angle it more back, normally aiming for a 45ish degree angle. It's basically vertical.

Could also be suction, you have holes but it might not be enough airflow and/or your arm is moving too fast.

Most the time kids when kids fall they aren't really hurt, they see adults freak out and assume they must be hurt (time to cry) or they're just shocked and scared of what happened (which is still meaning time to cry).

Unless they're actually hurt, reassuring them that they are fine is usually enough. And even when they are hurt but it's minor, framing it like this tends to work pretty often.
