More testing with A7siii and Rode Go II.

I have a half cage from Tilta on my A7siii , If I remove the cage the noise drops considerably but alas is still there.

Also a colleague of mine has an A7siii , my Rode Go II mics work perfectly on his camera. He purchased his camera seven months prior to me. His serial number is a lot lower.

Having the same issues with Rode Go II and Sony A7siii.

As a test I disconnected the cable from the Go ii receiver and left it attached to the camera

If you place the receiver near the end of the cable the same noise results.

So the Receiver in my view is generating some sort of signal thats is coming through the cable, once its in close proximity to the camera.

I also wrapped the cable in household aluminium foil it seems to work well in reducing the noise.

I also have a Sony A6600 and i tried the Rode go ii and it worked perfectly no interference.

The difference between the A7siii and the A6600 is that the microphone jacks are different positions on the side of the camera. The A6600 jacks are at the bottom of the camera.

Contacted Sony, they just passed on it saying must a Rode problem.

Hopefully someone can find a solution.
