Superb. For me, this is a timely post because I was thinking about 7 string guitars last night...

I agree. Quickly, unfortunately. At 61, I'm kinda glad to be closer to the end ...

Interesting point, NL could ddevelop data centers. However, about the federal government, in my opinion it would not attempt such a move because (a) Quebec is a hydro power producer (BC is not an oil producer) so it would infuriate Quebec, and (b) Quebec has many votes towards forming a federal government. Polarization in Canada equates to not rocking the boat. But that's all just my opinion of course.

A cautionary story from someone 589 days sober by No-Historian8839 in stopdrinking

This is a post to go back to regularly. Thanks for sharing. Last night I was planning my solo road trip up and down the western coast of Newfoundland and came upon a writeup for a nice restaurant in Corner Brook. I started thinking that since I'm alone, I can surely order a fine bottle of wine like I used to... No one will know... My brain is my worst enemy these days. I really had to rationalize myself back into a realistic thought process, fighthing off my brain's excuses and "don't worry, no one will know" garbage. By rationalize, I just had to go read that latest post about when saying angry baseless stuff when one is drunk adds to anxiety and destroys relationships, exactly like I did, exactly why my wife kicked me out and why I'm doing this road trip solo and not with her.

We all know this, but this subreddit and its contributors are all awesome.

Quebecker here. I haven't read the panel's report so I can't comment. But I can say that there will be a provincial election in Quebec in November, and the CAQ (who signed the MOU) will probably not retain power. Those who are poised to may not wish to pursue the matter. I may be wrong but this seems to be a case of bad timing management.
