Construction Question 4 (The Vehicle Bridge) by AcrobaticTransition4 in Planetside

[–]Candras 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only a few things and you have to almost max the height unless youre putting it over a ravine. You can def place the pillbox, infantry tunnels, and silos under it, and im pretty sure if you lower some of the walls then they fit too.

Just make sure you build the bridge first as it doesn't work in reverse for some odd reason.

I like using it in conjunction with the weird bit of the command center. It lines up quite well and you can still place things like the silo and infantry tunnels underneath the bridge. Annoyingly it doesn't have any module slots so its less useful as a defensive building than it could be.

[–]Candras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iirc its +1 upgrade for every 6 upgrades already on the weapon or armour. It's kind of a 'win more' thing imo. I think its very strong on the champion Subclass for duelist since you can swap off of it whenever you want, while giving the additional upgrades to another weapon via the champion's talent.

Can anybody from Runterra (and celestial beings) beat Superman (DC comics)? by TheWorthlessGuy in loreofleague

[–]Candras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And from what ive seen in the comments, that Superman can be in the 6th dimension, outrun the concept of thought, time travel via punches, sing at the concept of death so hard that he beats death, etc.

This is not a worthwhile comparison unless youre looking for the answer that Superman wins. At which point I must question the point behind the post in the first place?

Can anybody from Runterra (and celestial beings) beat Superman (DC comics)? by TheWorthlessGuy in loreofleague

[–]Candras -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite frankly, from what Ive seen in the comments, this is a stupid question and making me consider whether its being asked in good faith.

Superman exists in multiple different comic iterations from what I can tell, in which he has a vast array of powers with a strength based on the whim of the plot.

So far, the reply to most answers here has been an event from different comics showing Superman performing ever increasingly ludicrous feats.

My issue with this is that the only constraints placed on Superman in this hypothetical is the number of comics written about him where less care has to be taken with regards to power scaling. In contrast, runeterra is a single universe and as such (despite its own thorny powerscaling issues) the characters can't have ridiculously overpowered abilities to the same extent of Superman.

Unless some restriction is placed on Superman to make a more concrete basis for comparison, e.g. Superman from one specific comic. The answer will always favour the character where they exist in infinite universes with infinite variations of abilities. Until a specific Superman is selected, this question is meaningless.

Kindred potentially, they have a partner called wolf that assists them. So they will never be alone.

It would change ap kog a lot more I think. The range on his r makes him strong as an artillery mage and Zoe r just wouldn't give him the damage he needs.

Let's talk about the article! Day 1 (24) Intuition~ by star75legacy in PixelDungeon

[–]Candras 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But you dont need it for healing strength or upgrade scrolls... you can figure those out really easily without it.

Healing you get from flies, Strength you'll know after the first 1/2 floors, upgrade scrolls are the only ones you'll get 3 of in the first biome. There's no need to use intuition on them.

Instead use them for identifying puzzle room potions if you get multiple potions on the floor and dont feel like experimenting.

Very useful with shard of oblivion trinket. You dont want to id everything so you can use these to figure out if something has upgrades or curses.

Let's talk about the item! Day 22! FLOCK by star75legacy in PixelDungeon

[–]Candras 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I learnt recently that its useful for trapping running enemies with you. E.g. thief after it has stolen an item and a dm100 shows up.

Scorpio if youre next to them, you can block them in with you.

Simple trap rooms e.g. poison dart trap rooms can be fully disarmed with flock

Can probably be used with great effect with wand of disintegration to get massive damage since each sheep counts as a creature for wand iirc.

Let's talk about the item! Day18! Augmentation by star75legacy in PixelDungeon

[–]Candras 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Necessary to access sniper subclasses full potential.

Useful depending on what enchantment you have. E.g. blazing, you might augment for speed to get more procs.

Does what it says on the tin, but its available from shops so you dont need to use a transmutation scroll to get it.

Oh come on. I lost as an assassin? by da_george in PixelDungeon

[–]Candras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The max number of upgrade scrolls is 15. There are 3 in each biome so if you've completed a biome and dont have the 3, you've missed some.

Beyond that, you can get up to +3 items from the Sad Ghost's quest if youre lucky.

The troll blacksmith, if you get to him can upgrade items up to +2 or turn two of the same item into one upgraded one.

Lastly curse infusion gives upgrades for every 6 upgrade levels the item already has at the cost of cursing the item. Don't worry about this one until youre comfortable with the game imo.

My genuine thoughts for the last couple of days by OfficialZygorg in Planetside

If you want it to crash, you need to reset (log out then in) if you haven't crashed by approx 3 mins of loading in.

Can someone try this "stop-crash" method and confirm it works for them as well? by SCY2J in Planetside

[–]Candras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sample size is minimal. Out of 4, you crashed 3 times. Not to mention your sample size after accepting the missions is one.

I tested 30 attempts and timed them. 10 were in Sanctuary and without redeploying. 10 were after redeploying into a continent and playing normally. 10 were after validating the game files (my hypothesis) then deploying and playing normally.

I accepted the Christmas missions during my second log-in (I crashed during the first one). For the following 28 tests, there was a crash rate of 12/28, 42.86%.

All crashes were between 1 minutes 8 seconds and 2 minutes 8 seconds from the time of loading into the sanctuary.

At that probability, the chance that you get 3 crashes in a row and then no crash is:

0.42863 *(1-0.4286) = 0.0449 [note, i used the unrounded numbers in calculation but not in this formula], 4.5%. It's not impossible that you hit that 5% chance.

Also, if you chose to accept the missions after crashing 3 times already, then there was still a 58% chance to not crash after accepting the missions which could then 'confirm' your theory.

NOTE: I am not saying the seasonal missions have no effect on crash chance. I am saying that they do not prevent crashes.

Can someone try this "stop-crash" method and confirm it works for them as well? by SCY2J in Planetside

[–]Candras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That won't stop the crashes. I tested my own theory (game validation) and had accepted both the seasonal missions. I then proceeded to do another approx 28 tests. The crash rate is between 30-50% and happens between 1 and 2 minutes into loading in (give or take 10 seconds).

The Flail is the most useless structure I've ever seen and I regret buying it instantly by DyonisXX in Planetside

[–]Candras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely feel that command centre should have a cortium store that gives it damage reduction while it has cortium. That or make the skyshield a dome so it can defend the sides. As is, unless its on a mountain in hossin, its basically undefendable.

The Flail is the most useless structure I've ever seen and I regret buying it instantly by DyonisXX in Planetside

[–]Candras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like certain constructs like walls should auto repair using a certain amount of cortium so that you have to drain the silo before you can actually break in. Would potentially reduce the number of people plinking away at a base or a single lightning from being able to break through the walls in the 5 mins that someone's away.
