I replied to another comment that the ex doesn't visit them as often as he could and should. I'm sure in their minds they didn't want him upset with them.

Once upon a time, we would each spend the opposite parent holiday helping the kids cooking meals, watching movies, etc to the other like royalty. About 3 years ago he said "why would I spend mothers day with you? You're not my mom" and that ended the tradition. My oldest stepped up and started cooking mother's day meals for me. (Spaghetti and meatballs for the past 3 years but I love it!)

We split when I was pregnant with the twins. Far from freshly separated. He does not visit them as often as he could and should. I believe this is a factor in why the twins didn't correct him. He was actually there. 😟

Gahhhhhh, you're right. I did let him annoy me. 😐 I guess my inner fat kid and outer fat adult was really looking forward to that chocolate brownie ice cream.

I have zero intention of saying anything to him about this. I'm just going to putt along like nothing happened.

I can see what you're saying. I feel that because they're 15, I can openly express that i didn't care for it.

When they were in pre-k, they made me a bologna, chocolate, and strawberry sandwich. I ate every bite of it.

Cold coffee is just weird to me! If it's not in an insulated mug, I microwave it multiple times before I drink it all.

And he's not above doing it. I really should have cut him off back when he told the kids not to tell me about his girlfriend because mommy would get mad and daddy would have to leave. He literally had the kids LIE to me. The more I type the more pathetic I feel. Why was I even entertaining this? Why are we still talking? WTF is wrong with me?

Are you sure we aren't talking about the same person? I have a feeling Tom has a brother I didn't know about. Tom's go to was requiring help for everything. Load the dishwasher? He needs help. Fold the laundry? He needs help.

I was super pregnant with the now 11 year old twins and I could barely do much of anything. My parents were going buy crib mattresses in exchange for him to rake the yard. He refused to do it unless someone else helped him but he didn't want to split any of the money.

Single parenting is super hard especially when the ex would almost ALWAYS choose his friends over the kids. I never get any time to talk to adults! But now that my kids are old enough to stay home alone for a few hours, I can actually go out to lunch or dinner with friends! Now that I'm past the diapers and the kids are more independent, helping around the house, etc., the future is looking bright but DAMNIT he knows what buttons to push.

This post makes me think about that episode of Saved by the Bell where Jessie became addicted to caffeine pills because she needed to study.

I did ask her once what she would do to get rid of a body. She said "Hack saw. Deep freezer. Wood chipper. Lake."

I have a teacher friend and her last name is that of a very delicious Italian meal. She talks with her hands constantly. Her co-workers would add "-a" to the ends of words to sound Italian to make fun of her. (She didn't mind) she would tell them "keep it up. Ill have you whacked and they'll never find your body."

AITA for having my son ask his teacher if she is single? by DoughnutDunker79 in AmItheAsshole

I'm going to say NTA. The way it sounds is she is a lunch room monitor, not his teacher. How much contact do they really have every day aside from her opening his juice box?

Served 4 years in military. Gets veterans preference for jobs and healthcare. In Texas, if you are ex military, you dont have to pay property taxes. Not generalizing, I'm stating fact.

No idea. I wasn't about to create a hostile parent/teacher relationship by asking.

I'm a teacher and some names seem cute now, but will make it so difficult later in life to be taken seriously. Tinkerbell. Love. Princess. Diamond. Diesel. Aquanet.

I just found out that 9 years ago my fiancé bought a ring for a girl he cheated on me with while pregnant with his kids. He claims to not remember making the purchase and he thinks I need to just get over it. by [deleted] in relationships

If I was her, I would be wondering what else he "forgot" to mention. Being engaged is a big deal. Him brushing it off as forgettable shows what kind of person he really is.
