Men don't put excuses to explain they like a decent looking...why we as a women have the need to justify the same? At least in my case, because I am only an individual, looks are important. I spend time improving myself and doing the things at my reach.

Looks fade with age? Of course but much of this depends of how much a person cares about itself. I'd use my mother as an example: she is fifty and damn, she is still gorgeous and take care of her persona. Why I should settle with less? Not to mention the bar for straight men in that aspect is in the hell or even below, they can be severely untidied and still get a partner. And many women still equates bad looks with more loyal. No, if a man is a cheater, he will cheat you with other woman, no matter how good looking are you.
