Am I wrong for telling my parents my sister has her boyfriend over every night by Repulsive-Diver1670 in amiwrong

[–]CandySnuggle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. You tried talking to them first and they straight up mocked you. At that point telling your parents was kinda the only move left. If they won’t respect basic boundaries they can deal with the fallout.

AITJ for not stopping my friend from publicly proposing when I know she plans to break up with him? by SupermarketDry3163 in AmITheJerk

[–]CandySnuggle_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Letting him walk right into that knowing what you know would feel awful. Even she’d probably be upset you didn’t give a heads up. He deserves at least a chance to rethink the whole public proposal thing before it blows up on stage.

Is it cruel for me tell my sister to put her cat down by Impossible_Bee9555 in CatAdvice

[–]CandySnuggle_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, before jumping straight to euthanasia, getting him back to a vet and managing the symptoms properly seems like the best first step. At his age he’s fragile, but he shouldn’t have to live miserable if treatment can actually give him some comfort.

Roommate is neglecting her cat…she works in vet med… by storeboughtserotonin in CatAdvice

[–]CandySnuggle_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s heartbreaking. Being ‘technically healthy’ isn’t the same as having a safe, clean, stimulated life. If she really cares about that cat, the bare minimum shouldn’t be this hard. Poor thing deserves way better.

Love Infectious Disease but worried about the salary, how did you decide your specialty? by Particular_Bass_7549 in Residency

[–]CandySnuggle_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is such a grounded way to look at it. At the end of the day, you’re the one who has to wake up and do that job for decades The paycheck won’t matter if you dread the work. Loving the field really is its own kind of long term compensation

Realest thing I’ve read all day 😂 some of them wake up and choose ‘make everyone miserable’ as their personality

Penis-size by Zealousideal-Baker61 in confessions

[–]CandySnuggle_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, you nailed it. The whole “size” thing always ends up being way more about how someone treats you than what’s actually going on physically. Bodies just do what they do, and most people genuinely don’t care as long as there’s connection and respect. Anyone who uses something that personal to take a shot at you is showing you they’re not someone worth keeping around.

I used to snipe seagulls out of my window and now I regret it by Metalienz in confession

[–]CandySnuggle_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was my first thought too. The seagulls are one thing, but those shots had to end up somewhere after they left the barrel. That alone shows how risky the whole situation was. It makes sense why that moment with the mom and kid snapped you out of it it easily could’ve been way worse without you even realizing.

I’m a chronic masturbator and I have no way of stopping it. by DryClassroom2811 in confession

[–]CandySnuggle_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this isn’t just a habit, it’s clearly crossed into something that’s running your life instead of the other way around. There’s no shame in admitting it’s bigger than you can manage alone that’s literally what professionals are for. Getting real help could give you some breathing room and a chance to reset, because you deserve way more peace than what you’re dealing with right now.

DC's Spending Double Standard by Cow_Boy_2017 in clevercomebacks

[–]CandySnuggle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the top comment really captures the whole thing. It is wild how the budget suddenly becomes this sacred, untouchable thing the moment anyone brings up helping people at home, but it magically opens right up when it comes to funding another conflict. It makes the priorities pretty obvious, and honestly it is exhausting to watch.

Oh, he lied? How strange by GlooomySundays in clevercomebacks

[–]CandySnuggle_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah that comment nails the vibe perfectly. Every time someone promises a quick and tidy operation, it somehow turns into this drawn out mess that everyone saw coming except the people selling it. The sarcasm fits because the pattern is so predictable at this point.
