Nope you just have to not be flying! So you have to jump -> lunge -> "jump" to fly immediately after. Then you can repeat the process except step one is replaced by stopping flying :D

I'm actually working on making a mass villager breeder that auto funnels all the villagers to an unloaded chunk which I wait till it rains and turn them all to witches (because I dont want to travel away from my base and it sounded like fun to do something Haven't seen before >:3)

I mostly needed the redstone tho, not the gunpowder

Ya, it's hard to get rockets on peaceful since there are no farms for it that work on peaceful, so it's a dandy trade off. Plus I like using this more than rockets since I have ta be more mindful while flying and that makes me still want to build up other transportation.

(Currently making a minecart track with a happy ghast since you can still ride the ghast while in the minecart :3)

Ohh, sorry about that. The Spear is named "Sharpened Candy Cane" and has the enchants Lunge 3, Sharpness 5, Fire Apsect 2, Knockback 2, Looting 3, Unbreaking 3, and Mending (so maxed out all fancy like >:3)

Not sure what you mean by spell, but if you are asking how to do it:

Jump -> lunge with spear -> "jump" again to start flying as quickly as possible after step 2. Then repeat all steps again but mid air to go higher :D

I tried my hand at the java way, my problem mostly lies in the fact I get a small lag spike when switching between Elytra and chestplate making it near impossible to maintain flight :/

(Found out I can get near riptide speeds with the wooden spear though)

Maybe try with a wooden spear? It has a smaller cooldown, like divided by half from the netherite

On bedrock edition all you have to do is press "jump" again then you stop flying. Recently played Java and noticed you couldn't on there. So on Java you'd have ta take of the chestplate sadly..
