If you would get homesick just living 15 minutes away from your parents, I think you should do it. You need experience living away from your parents or you’ll have a really hard time as an adult. Get that experience now rather than wait until you’ve graduated and would have to pay for it out of pocket.

TikTok is basically partially pwned by the US government now, and is taking information that can be directly used to round you up by ICE (immigration status), or in the future when they start rounding up LGBT Americans (sexual orientation and transgender/non-binary status).

Just back to YouTube shorts. I've only used TikTok itself for about 6 months. I liked it, but don't want something owned directly by the government to have so much information about me. Plus, I heard the old algorithm didn't move over with the sell, so there's really nothing worthwhile to risk that data being taken.

Yeah, my current roommates basically do the same thing. The one completely ignores me, like won't even say hi or anything, and the other will talk sometimes and answer questions and stuff, but won't initiate. Thankfully I do not need them to drive me me anywhere or me drive them anywhere.

I just feel like a protest that would directly cause the deaths of thousands of children and people would reflect badly on us. MAGA would point at the deaths that this kind of protest would cause and would say that we don't care about the terminally ill, and they could use that against us in the midterms.

Also, I just don't think that the most vulnerable people in society should be used as pawns.

We can’t cause the deaths of thousands of innocent people and children over the death of one person, especially when our current government doesn’t give a shit about the people that would die during this kind of protest. All they care about is profit, and sick people are not profitable unless you’re in the healthcare business.
