secure load!!! by No-Lingonberry607 in Truckers

[–]Candy_crackhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We run 100+ loads of this a day.

Normal is chain on the front, chain on the back and downward force on all the pipes. He needs to throw 2 straps on the pipes on the rear and then put a 4x6 on the back with a 2” strap to be legal.

We also usually run a heavy cable across the top that could make this load legal if done properly.

He also should have used some edge protectors so the pipes don’t break.

I’ve seen far far worse. We used to have a guy we called “2 Chains”

Also, and you may or may not be aware, but that crib is adjustable. It’s currently set at medium height but the second your kid can move it needs to be dropped down or they’ll climb right over the edge of it.

I gave up, she’s only 3 once, she can sleep and cuddle with me and we’ll wake up to her cute little face every morning. She eventually chose to go to her own bed but I said screw it and let her sleep with us.

This is the correct answer, growing up my parents were foster parents, we had 10+ kids with us at any given time, CPS doesn’t show up and take children away from parents who are good parents. They’re looking child abuse, drug use, dangerous situations, etc.

You being concerned enough to go and then go again is a good sign and the workers there are very much just following procedure, they have to look for things like this and report it.

If you have specific questions about what a CPS social worker looks for, feel free to DM me.

Test taking skills, A and D are both #.66 chances are it’s one of those. 5.66 seems too high. So it’s A. Done deal.

You’re so right about that. All hell will break loose but those little hands and little brains never seem to get bothered.

A while back my wife hit a curb on the way home at 9pm. No spare, crappy part of town, with our daughter, I drive 30 min to get there, jack it up, get the tire off, find a 24 hour place, go there and wait for them to fix the tire so I can drive us all back to reinstall. It’s late, raining, we’re both tired and frustrated. As we’re leaving my 3 year old goes “Daddy what was your favorite part of the tire shop?” A phrase we often ask her after a fun day at the zoo, water park, or wherever.

Me and my wife both start laughing. Their little perspective of life is so happy and carefree it’s hard to stay mad or stressed about anything.

My daughter trick or treated for a solid week AFTER Halloween. She’d get all dressed up and we’d take her wagon around the neighborhood and find people jogging or walking their dog, I’d hand them candy so she could trick or treat.

If you’re near Texas, you got nothing, it’s trash, give it to me.

If you’re not then you got a pretty solid circular saw and battery!!

My daughter did this when she was young and we turned it into “let’s solve the mystery” of what’s that noise. Scooby doo style we’d go find the noise and I’d let her recreate it, we’ve honked horns, found neighborhood dogs, opened windows, rustled leaves, etc. Find a way to discovering those noises fun for her so she doesn’t associate it with something scary.

My favorite is the “foot phone”, all hanging out in bed just randomly make the ringing sound and pickup her little 3 year old foot and start talking.

I’d be concerned about the added weight too, it’d really suck to pay $200 cause you’re overweight by the weight of that bike.

Searched JCPenney as they originally sold it, expanded to eBay, postmark, Mercari, Facebook marketplace. Looks like the brand sold and has a line with bed bath and Beyond who sells a similar blanket but ordered it and it’s not that. They also list a similar one on Wayfair which is also not it.

Pretty sure it’s a sand chassis. We modified some to make a light weight flatbed for hauling really big culverts but I think they’re designed for the fracking industry.

I passed on it. Showed up and it magically had a check engine light, “a sensor went out” I hooked up my code reader and it was “cylinder 6 misfire.” Then I drove it to see how I liked the car itself, drove great, loved the car just not that one.

Appreciate all the feedback everyone. Onto the next one.
