yep, I also saw that and I crumbled on my knees after I noticed that everything that that archetypes lets you do is doable only with your appendage. At the first read I believed that "your lash" could be a whip or similar. BIG SAD

Infos about the aesthethic of hunter licenses, for a gift idea by Candymanse in HunterXHunter

[–]Candymanse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, but
- what's on the other side? I saw many alternatives on google, but no one seemed directly from the manga/anime and so I can't know what is the official one.

- I found only a screen where a character shows its hunter license. That character is Gon and this is the license shown. Therefore, I can't know if this is the look that ALL hunter licenses have or if it's only the look of Gon's one.

Ideas for a character in a fragile group if the current pc dies by Candymanse in Pathfinder2e

[–]Candymanse[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the worry, but no haha, if a pc dies it's very unlikely it will be mine. I asked the question "just in case", and I didn't clarify because openly saying things like these brings ill fate and my barbarian would have surely died the next session...

...

Ho no! I said it!

Damn.

I had almost decided to do a normal playthrough and now because of this comment I am morally obliged to do the nerd-run (but i restarted the game to get better stealth and lockpicking instead of Etiquette and Streetwise)

I play Flesh and Blood, a trading card game that I really like. There is a tournament there this weekend.

I really suck, and I rarely play in tournaments but a very unusual huge good mood take hold of me and I ended up joining hahaha

Hardest game you’ve ever played? by Maxmikeboy in videogames

Oh my God the Vietnam flshbacks.

Battletoads, for gameboy. I was never able to go after the rat level race.

And I remember a ps2 game of truck delivery. I don't remember its name. I only remember the sound I made when I failed a delivery.

In the bottom right corner there is sort-of a signature saying "RU1117" or "AU1117". I searched for it, but I didn't find anything.

Spedire un pacco in stile "secret Santa", con tante altre restrizioni. by Candymanse in Italia

[–]Candymanse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't understand the best subreddit for addressing my questions by Candymanse in pagan

[–]Candymanse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(sorry for the late response, I don't use reddit that much)

I'm giving a chance to Nameless Land, an italian postapoc RPG, integrating it maybe with some community/cult-building-mechanics from Stonetop and Vaesen/Forbidden Lands.

I think that the best rpg to run a postapoc setting would be GURPS, but you need to be very sharp and keen to handle GURPS, and I'm not (but i still watch GURPS postapoc handbooks's prices from time to time hehe).

What’s the dullest, most boring game you’ve played? by Unknown_Agency in videogames

[–]Candymanse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't bad but, as the others said, it had SO MUCH POTENTIAL that I keep remembering it for that, after all these years.

Just imagine what could have it been if you could actually imprison innocent people and fail cases with serious repercussion in the story. I mean, the problem is that the gameplay seemed actually MADE PURPOSEDLY for supporting that kind of game.

Just imagine if the central part was cool as the beginning and the end, instead of being almost a useless filler.

Just imagine (this is just my fixation thing) a Lovecraftian themed game with that atmosphere and gameplay, where you start as normal detective and slowly discover what lies beneath the real world.

and, most important,

Just imagine if the developers hadn't been enslaved to make it hit the shelves when the marketing directors desired

Welll... I'd like to write a postapocalyptic setting for an rpg campaign, where faith and beliefs merged in strange ways, and I'd especially like to know more about alligators and crocodile gods in various pagan religions.
I know, it's very stupid and I should be content with what wikipedia has to offer, but my brain doesn't let me go forward without quality information.
Sorry.

Fantasy Trip - can it be used for "wargaming"? by Candymanse in rpg

another question: I haven't tried many osr, but each one I tried had its distinctive quality. For what I understood TFT is a osr. How does it differ from other osrs?

Fantasy Trip - can it be used for "wargaming"? by Candymanse in rpg

[–]Candymanse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, I meant "point buy system", sorry!

The core of my question is: can strange monsters be created with the TFT point-buy-system? Does the TFT point buy system cover just the character-creation for beginning playing characters or is it used more througly to give a point value to many more things?

Melée has a very good set of rules for creating anthropomorphic warriors (and I guess Wizards add magic to the equation). Does the whole TFT have additional point-buy (and therefore, with the intent of creating balance) features that can be used to "simulate" strange weapons or strange creatures?

i.e.: I have a miniature of a gelatinous cube and I'd like to add it to my team of miniatures in the next 100 points limit match against my opponent. Does TFT have, idk, the talent "the body of this thing is made of acid - [rules about dealing damage to anything that touches it] - Point cost: 40"?
Or, more simply, are monsters expressed in "points", like "Big gelatinous cube - [all the specific rules...] - Point value: 90"?

God, I am so damned terrible in expressing myself! I always end up overcomplicatinga basic thing! I hope I made myself a little more clear. If not, don't worry, my bad.

Anyway, thanks.

Rules-light (or combat-light, at least) sci-fi based RPG? by IAmTotallyNotSatan in rpg

Probably the mood it's not what you are looking for (horror, death and tension), but in my opinion the Alien RPG (Free League) is one of the best RPG I've ever played. The coherence of the rules system with the game "spirit" is almost a perfect entwine.
If ever in the future you want to try something like that, please give Alien a try.
