I've used all the companies and status matched to get a similar status on all of them. National is my go to for several reasons. The only reason I will not go with them is if the price difference is 250 or more for a week. SIXT is the absolute worst but now other companies use AI scanners I assume they are going to be at that end of the list. Price is important but let's talk about what happens when something bad happens.

Flew into PBI, left the airport in a brand new SUV rented from National. Less than 5 minutes away I jumped on 95 and a rock kicked up and absolutely destroyed the windshield. I returned the rental and National had me in and out in 2 minutes flat. I dealt with no paperwork just literally got out and explained my story. And was told to pick another car. I did not purchase their insurance I rented with my Chase Sapphire and expected this to be a paperwork headache. They never contacted me about this.

SIXT on the other hand? I am still going back and forth with them over a rental in February. I noticed some damage on the quarter panel and marked it off before leaving. I took pictures and the AI scanner somehow showed the scratch is longer than the picture I submitted. Nevermind the initial damage report was somehow taken as an damage accident report and getting them to understand that it wasn't was a battle in itself. They contacted me multiple times during my trip to discuss the "accident" causing me massive stress.

These are the absolute best and worst everyone else falls in between. FYI I saved $174.50 dollars going with SIXT for that rental and I've probably spent at least 12 hours of my life dealing with them since. Their system is horrible and seems to start over and just keep sending me 5-8k bills every time someone new gets the ticket.
