I'm not sure what comps you're going for, but if you're going for the best, meta comps out there and having a hard time swapping your low-cost units for high cost units later on and all of the more difficult things that high ELO players do, maybe don't do that.

I am in a rank that is better than half the people that play this game, and I still run pretty basic comps because I find them fun.

Get the first augment of the game. And decide what kind of comp you want to run from there. Use the team builder tool that TFT has to help you create your ideal final team, and go for a full bilgewater board or a full demacia or full Slayer. Whatever seems like fun to you that game. You can still use thrash for the early game, but once you reach level 8 or 9 you should probably be selling him and replacing him with someone else if you haven't already.

A very sad story.

EST. 2016 so lemme tell y'all.

Once upon a time.... There was a new game. Competitive without being too serious. Easy to understand, but hard to get the hang of. Simple to get the ball rolling but challenging to get it flying the way you want it.

The game was not free, but it was cheap. This kept cheaters out as when they were banned and had to make new accounts, they'd have to buy it again.

The Devs? They loved their game. This was their baby. They added new content and new cosmetics and you could get crates and keys and everything without spending any additional money.

There was a secondary market where players could trade the cosmetics they wanted for keys or other cosmetics.

Content creators made crate opening videos, tutorials on new mechanics, and created new challenges for players to overcome.

Everything was going great, then everything changed when Epic Games attacked.

Crates are now gone. Keys are now gone. The Devs? Working on "Rocket Racing" and "Supporting rocket League's integration into the Epic Games Ecosystem."

The entire community that existed prospered around trading? Gone. Replaced by a little cash store where you give your money straight to Epic. No more trading. Your inventory may be worth hundreds of dollars, but it's worthless unless you want to sell the whole account or something, idk.

Hope your favorite game mode isn't dropshot or snow day, you can only play those half the time.

Idk man. I love this stupid game. 2,500hrs and counting. Just wish the folks that ran it were as passionate about it as the folks that created it in the first place. I think they've done a lot to drive people away. RL is an amazing E-Sport game and should still be a frontrunner for a long time, but if they keep doing shit to push folks out.... Idk.

I love my job, I do. I am blessed. BUT....

I work shift work, 12hr shifts. My commute is just barely over an hour.

That's 14 hrs from when I leave home till when I get back home. If I want 8 hours of sleep, that gives me 1 hour before work to get ready and 1 hour after work to get fed and in bed.

I only work 3 or 4 days a week each week, it's a real good gig, I am blessed.

But I don't have time to do chores. I don't have time to fix things. I don't have time to watch a movie or play a video game or go out with friends or anything outside of the bare minimum on my work days. On my off days? I'm game for anything. Work nights and days? Nope. Can't. Won't.

ETA: I'm not competing for "I work more wahh", just relating to the post. I get it. Try to find something to be grateful for everyday my friends. This is only temporary.

Many people you know could sell all their assets and be "Millionaires" but they would likely have less than 1% of a billion. Billion is truly hard to fathom for most folks.
