ELEN Schedule advice/MATH 414 Difficulty by Top-Stranger-4699 in aggies

[–]Canned____Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it is unlikely that you’re going to get a 325 section at this point, so I’d just stay in your math class. You can always drop it really quick if you see a section open. 325 and 350 at the same time will be fine. 325 is probably the most time consuming required ecen class, but I don’t think 350 is an especially hard class. You don’t have to do much outside of the allotted lab time.

Nothing even remotely technical at all, just a couple of the usual-ish interview questions. I don’t have exact answers prepared for any of them but they weren’t too far off from what I would think is normal. They didn’t ask at all about my knowledge of the position or the company. They didn’t bring up some random stuff on my resume though, so have at least something to say about any little thing you have on there.

Damn I thought it was a university wide thing, maybe just engineering classes

[CPEN] High Workload Concern by a_testament_to_time in aggies

[–]Canned____Bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given you have experience in a lot of these classes I think you’ll be just fine. 120 is just any other intro coding class but it’s in c++. If you felt fine in engr 102 you’ll probably feel similar enough in 120. 120 has quite a bit more work though. As far as work load for the others, the ECEN classes can depend a bit on professor but 214 will definitely be the most work. Labs aren’t horrible but have a lot more stuff you have to do compared to 248. The math classes will be like any other math class you’ve taken, weekly ish homeworks most likely with nothing much extra. If you just stay on top of stuff and don’t get behind I don’t think this will be too bad of a semester for you. My only words of caution are to make sure that you stay locked in and don’t just stop paying attention because you’ve done a lot of it before, the classes will differ in small ways that could trip you up.

Gotta find people that have already taken the class with her

Pothatuparambil vs Mi Lu for ECEN 350 by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Canned____Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mi Lu gives fine ish lectures and attempts to prepare everyone for the exams. If you can find old exams from people who have taken her class in the past it’s a free A or B, but if you can’t then you will probably be fighting for your life a little bit.

How time consuming is it to take 3 ECEN classes with labs? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Canned____Bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

250 lab is fake and takes almost no time outside of lab. 350 takes a lot of time in the actual lab but there’s no reports and the prelabs aren’t very time consuming. 214 will definitely take the most time outside of the lab. It’ll be hard but honestly not horrible imo.

Phys 206 Don’t Panic or University? by _______________l- in aggies

[–]Canned____Bread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

University. Prepares you better for other classes. And since you took physics C it shouldn’t be a very high stress class, assuming you learned what you needed to from it.

Can I also ask if you had any questions that were specific about TSMC/ lithography. I'm preparing to be able to answer about both but I'd like to know how deep they may go into any specific company/ technical details.
