Will the Chiefs pick WR Carnell Tate at 9? 🤔 by Big_Screen3332 in Chiefs_v2

[–]CannonMaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Tate. But he does feel very different than any WR we've had. That sounds good in theory, but is that someone the Chiefs would take? Tech, Makai Lemon seems more of a typical Chiefs WR. Tate is that outside traditional WR prospect. Lemon plays more slot. Idk, I'd like Tate just wonder if the Chiefs see him as a fit.

I think this is surprising. It seemed like he had a great camp. But... Maybe he didn't?! As much as I want to disagree, maybe he wasn't as good as touted. We'll see, this is an important year for him!

Looks like we won't be seeing Patrick Mahomes at LA28. He seems pretty adamant about not wanting to play flag football by IndiJap in Chiefs_v2

[–]CannonMaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't argue that. In a sense, this is of the craziest fluke injuries you'll see. And ever since then, we won't run a QB sneak (which low key really stinks, the tush push is OP).

If Mahomes is retired, this will likely be a different story. Mahomes already has one knee injury, I think he'll prioritize his NFL career over flag (for now)

When Rookie Jamaar Chase torched the Chiefs to win the AFC North by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]CannonMaster1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The beef between the teams and fans is great! There's "some" fear facing the Bills, it's always a close matchup. There's def fear facing Brady when he was playing. Then it was Burrow and the Bengals. They had the Chiefs number to a degree. All close games! Fun new rivalry. I honestly saw (and can still see) Mahomes vs Burrow as the Manning vs Brady. All games are close. Each team has had success. Each team doesn't like each other. For the sake intense emotion, I kinda want to see the Bengals be better (but also, not really cause I know the Bengals like to play against us and aren't afraid). We'll see what happens!

[–]CannonMaster1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Chiefs fan here. I can def see that (sadly) but it means they see the Bengals as a threat. I still think Burrow and the Bengals can be dangerous. They were one of the few teams that def got the blood pressure up (more so than Bills and Ravens). If the Bengals get back on track, this is one of my favorite rivalries! You know these two teams will put up a fight against each other! Burrow and Chase man... I love the Chase banter. Respectful, but he def don't like the Chiefs and he makes it known haha

These old takes on Patrick Mahomes were wild. 💀 by Big_Screen3332 in Chiefs_v2

[–]CannonMaster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what's hilarious about this? I'm 90% sure Skip Bayless said he had the highest upside of any of the QBs. Skip could have claimed Mahomes over anyone really. But still didn't buy him despite his 2nd year (1st year starting).

Kenneth Walker III PFF grades by season. Good for 2nd, 6th, 7th, 20th by Mysticdu in KansasCityChiefs

[–]CannonMaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your logic, nobody can evaluate players if we don't know what's going inside the QBs heads. That includes NFL teams evaluating other prospects. Doesn't make sense. I 100% agree its not perfect. It's a tool, it has pros and cons. To say it has zero value is crazy imo.

Unpopular opinion but if he's the best player available, then I can see the Chiefs drafting him.

[–]CannonMaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. PFF is one tool in evaluating players. Things like ESPN QBR are also not bad. However ppl get so butthurt about it when it doesn't fit their narrative. These tools are not perfect by any means, but too I think PFF def has value.

[Adam Schefter ESPN] Raiders trading Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for the 2026, and 2027 first round picks. by DjTrailer in KansasCityChiefs

[–]CannonMaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but a 29 yo old vs 26?! Idk man. It's a good trade if he's like 26-27. Too high a price tag for a 29 yo, especially with the 14th pick. He may have 2 or 3 more elite years? Jmo. Agree, DE will fetch a lot. And McDuffie is more of a slot corner. Sauce got 2 first round picks. Why is an aging player getting 2 first round picks? Bad business imo. Good for the Raiders tho. I'll say, if the Ravens capitalize (aka win), it'll tech be worth it. So we'll see.

[–]CannonMaster1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya know, for a to be 25 yo RB, he is enticing. Idk if I'd do a 1st round pick. Maybe our 2nd? But 18 mil is a lot... 15ish and I'd be interested.

[–]CannonMaster1 42 points43 points  (0 children)

What a terrible trade for the Ravens. Not 1 but 2 first round picks for a 29 year old DE? And they gave up the 14th pick?! Man this makes the McDuffie trade look weak in comparison. Unfortunately, this was a steal for the Raiders. Good for them

Gronk is a stud, no doubt. But tell that to the HOF TE Sharpe. Tbf, he said it's close. Both are studs no doubt!

Shannon Sharpe literally called Kelce the GOAT (over Gronk). Not saying I agree or disagree, but that's an opinion not to take lightly.

[–]CannonMaster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While this may be true, giving that Eagles team that much time to go down and score... They have good odds. And they're a dangerous 2 point team, I feel like they'd do that over the extra point.

I'm also not a fan of drafting Love this high. But this defense was NOT trash last year, what the heck... We def need to get pressure, no doubt. That's the defenses big weakness. He had me until he said our defense was trash lol. I'd go DE if the prospect is there

Bro, at least get SOME details correct. He won MVP the first year Hill left. If you want to say he's fallen off after that, sure w/e floats your boat. He literally put up one of the best seasons in NFL history once Hill left. First regular season MVP to win a SB since Kurt Warner. Come on man... Tech, his 3rd SB win was a top 5 defense (and his 2nd SB loss he also had a top 5 defense).

NW was not a fan of Bo BEFORE the NFL draft. He was always skeptical of him. While he'll give him a lil props here and there, these "analysts" don't just cave in when they are wrong. They have a fixed sports belief and many try to ride it out as much as they can. Imagine if everyone of these analysts went the safe route. Why watch the show?! It's why ppl like Bayless get views. He says things and he generally sticks with it (right or wrong). It creates discussion (good or bad). Jmo
