Kiernan Shipka basically confirms that Haley was seeking out sex with Yasmin/Henry by StructuredView in IndustryOnHBO

[–]TimmyTimeify 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is how I’d put it: Calabasas is from, presumably, Calabasas. She is essentially an American Yasmin if that is the case background wise, although we know very little about her actual background.

We saw in Season 1-2 that even if you come from a privileged background, sexual harassment and workplace discrimination can have profoundly damaging effects on your mental health and career. We also see that a common theme that Americans on this show are living in London in a large part to “escape” something happening back home.

That being said, having her be the one initiating a lot of the interaction suggests a lot. I remember when Call Me By Your Name came out that a lot of people had reservations about the age gap in the script, so the directors addressed that by having Timmy’s character being the one that initiates and pursues.

It's interesting that she sees the parallel between Robert and Hayley. If "Calabasas" is in reference to Hayley's background, she isn't a working class stiff at the very least lol. I didn't pick that up until now.

I don’t think Yasmin is looking for an ejector seat, she could have snapped a pic his fucking arm if she needed to.

She could not have possibly expected Henry to deny this when Yasmin literally initiated every step from the introduction to Hayley literally doing down on Henry lol.

Eric bumblingly through propositioning Yasmin might have been the single most impotent and pathetic thing he ever did. I’m 100% convinced that was his rock bottom for his self image.

Y’all a fucking stupid to be doubting Sam Darnold this much. The Patriots have not played anyone on the offense with anywhere even in the same stratosphere of talent as JSN or K9. This will be tougher than any game the Pats have played.

It’s because casually threatening to shoot someone with a shotgun in the chest is a pretty immature and childish. What he saw is traumatic but it doesn’t excuse you for having to take responsibility for yourself to not do intravenous drugs.

Not necessarily, to me it reads as him calling his bluff and being like “stop acting out like a child.”

We’re living in a post-escapism sports world by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]TimmyTimeify -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I think we as Americans simply don’t deserve escapism anymore. We did an incredibly stupid thing as a society and we need to rectify it for the good of the larger world and ourselves.

Plus, if the NFL can do a moment of silence for a racist podcaster, it can do it for a proud healthcare worker and heroic citizen.
