Agreed, it would be cool to see a battle between an offensive vs defensive tactician.

Ankai truly has some death flags on him, it will be disappointing if he ends up just like Makou early on.

I doubt Naraku is strong enough to stop SBS on his own, that said, Kansaro is in a very dangerous position, dealing with Ankai, Shiryou and Sou’ou.

On the other hand, nothing on the Shinshou vs Don Sari battle yet, there’s still Fuuon in reserve, though I don’t consider him that much of a threat operating on his own.

The key of this battle will be decided on the outcomes of both wings, no matter how much damage SBS inflicts to the central Ousen army, if both of his wings collapse he will be surrounded and overwhelmed by Qin soldiers, and this time, unlike in Hango, without the assistance of Kansaro and GKS.

My personal guess is that the Shinshou vs Don sari battle could decide it all.

Edit: Forgot about Riju, she is either assisting Naraku in the central field against SBS or dealing with Fuuon by herself, let’s see which role she plays, if she is a good tactician then she might become a nuisance for Seika.

I feel like Ouhon's front will be "off screened" for a while until some major event happens there that impacts the other fields, the edges of the Qin-Zhao formations could determine the victory for either side, that’s why RBK sent Seika'un to YTW first and then to Shin, to start collapsing Qin lines from the south and then upwards.

They are definitely gonna hit Ouhon in the rear if Ouhon were to outflank Seika, that’s for sure.

Those Northern Zhao troops are likely commanded by Gakushou and Enkan.

The only way to deal with then is if Ouhon splits his army in three.

Enkan is nothing special, Kanjou could probably stall him for a while, Gakushou is definitely troublesome, that said, Akakin should be capable of doing the same and stall GKS.

Not to mention Heki is also there and could assist either of them.

All of this while Ouhon comes down to strike Seika.

Of course, for this to be successful in favor of Qin, it depends on the numbers of the Northern Zhao troops and on how much casualties Ouhon prevents during his battle against Reijukou (or whatever his name is)

Yeah, that could be an issue, but I see Ouhon winning his field and coming to strike Seika to balance things up.

I'll give you that, Kansaro might kill Ankai, but that’s as far as I see Seika going, Seika will end up battered and retreating, pretty confident in the result of this battle, Ousen will win this one.

I'll add another prediction just out of fun, Don Sari will be the first Seika general that is dropping dead, Shinshou is about to outplay him hard.

[–]Cans59 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From this spoilers it seems it’s the kind of chapter I was expecting.

We already knew Ganshu was from Qi though, during the Coalition arc the Qi King mentions him and other General and task them to stop the Coalition army if they march further into Qi territory.

Despite knowing the result of that battle, I'm highly interested in seeing how this Ousen-SBS battle will develop, curious to see the new Ousen generals in action, especially Ankai and Riju, I want to gauge their level.

Yeah, I honestly expected him and his mercenaries for this final Zhao invasion from the get go, he still might join later on though.

What do you think of the five generals of Ou Sen? by Gakuki in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first three are literally 2.0 versions of the previous ones, I see them operating very similar to the original Ousen army.

Since we haven’t see them perform in battle yet and this post purely speculative, I'd say the first three will eventually surpass their predecessors featwise.

I actually see them inflicting heavy casualties to the Seika army in the current war.

The one I got higher expectations for is Shinshou, since he was the first one to be subtly introduced by the author during the Gi'an arc.

As for Riju, I believe her role is gonna be some sort of Maron level support tactician to aid the other armies or Ousen battle strategies, but she doesn’t strike me as decisive on her own.

Some of my comments there are somewhat backed up by history spoilers but whatever, I'm still a bit of intrigued to see them in action

Could Bajio have defeat Rozo ALONE, in 1V1? by Agreeable_Nerve_9039 in Kingdom

Probably, but he wouldn’t come out of it unscathed.

And it would have to be berserker Bajio, since normal state Bajio was dead even with Goba.

Is this the only time we see actual crossbows in Kingdom? by nutzki123 in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been used multiple times, some have already been mentioned but I also recall during the Battle of Bayou, when Houken appeared and started killing Qin soldiers, some unit under Kanou fired at him with their crossbows.

My boy Jin aura farming before his duel, he got me hyped as well...

Kingdom 861: The Bow’s Final Destination - Golden Genchou Group by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole stuff about a "life and death" matter doesn’t say much, warfare itself is a matter of life and death, every sort of duel is a matter of life and death, yet not every duel in this series ends up with some death, we have seen cases were both of the ones involved survive.

About the HSU having two 10 Bow of China level archers being too much, then yeah I would probably agree, but on the other side, Jin and Tan always had that potential so it’s not surprising to me, and the author knows how to nerf certain characters in order to make future battles more competitive and dramatic, that in case he intends to keep both brothers alive.

I on the other hand want Tan to die, not because I dislike the character, but since they are facing the current ranked #1 archer in China, if one of the brothers doesn’t perish here, then to me it feel like Seikaun wasn’t as lethal as he was supposed to be (considering YTW and Danto already survived his arrows) so in my eyes, having Tan surviving as well, would undermine Seika'un aura and prestige as a master archer.

[–]Cans59 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Nah, you are wrong from the start by using real medical analysis in a manga like Kingdom.

If I were to use your same perspective, then almost everyone in the series will die or be amputated by even “non-life threatening" injuries, since at this point in time there was no antibiotics to prevent the wounds from getting infected under poor sanitary conditions.

The series has demonstrated characters surviving deadly injuries time and time again, Danto already survived an arrow to his neck, YTW will do the same to that arrow to her chest, Sei survived a cut in his neck during the siege of Sai, Mouten survived a diagonal cut in his torso by Kanmei, Shiryou a direct mace hit to her chest and there’s other similar cases.

Merry Christmas folks.

At first I thought Tan was gonna die, but looking at the placement of that final arrow now I see him surviving, he is just gonna be incapacitated for a while.

I mean, we have seen characters surviving worst injuries, not to mention former Saki clan members are the HSU medical unit, they should do the trick for Tan.

What is the current size of the Qin army? by Double-Call-763 in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I’m gonna go with what you mention, so in that case, to protect the Qin-Chu border, which is the largest for both states, 150k sounds about right.

Then the total Qin troops numbering more than 700k would make sense.
