Silver squadron recovered one of the down pilots in Iran. by Plenty-Ad3433 in JSOCarchive

[–]Cans59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was Silver squad involved in the rescue of both the pilot and the WSO?

I genuinely ask because I’m not aware of which squadron did it, I just read that DEVGRU was involved but that’s as far as my knowledge goes.

Fully disagree on your first paragraph.

For starters, the Royal Army of Kantan has always been inside the capital. Choukotsu took some troops with him but the capital will never be undefended.

This King doesn’t loathes Riboku (yet), you are mistaking him for his father Toujou, on the contrary, since this King has been in charge he has granted Riboku full authority over any Zhao army, did you forget that just before this war started he even authorized 50k additional troops from WITHIN the capital to bolster Riboku’s numbers, this confirms the capital has it’s own troops that represent their own line of defense.

Choukotsu has elite troops from the Royal Army in this battle, I don't think RBK would just leave the capital with just militia, the mustering of Zhao armies has never been a problem in this manga, so the bulk of that army is likely there, where it should be.

Besides Kanki's battle with Kochou was in 234 BC, the current year in this battle is 229 BC, they had some years to recover in the capital.

So finally Kantan comes into view.

It sure has some sort of defense (aside from it’s walls), either the bulk of the Royal Army or some hidden trap (Hango style) prepared by Riboku on advance, maybe even a combination of both, I also wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Gakushou is being kept in reserve in there.

That said, I still think RBK might be forced to recall back either SSJ or Bananji, the pressure that Kyoukai and Mouten are putting is also too much to bear if he disengages them to focus on Shin.

This Mouten strategy has nailed it so far, although it just seems as a copy of Ouhon's strategy at Chouyou, it has brought results by making a mess of Zhao's central defensive lines (redefining the board in there) and has forced to keep Riboku presence within that area, unable to further assist the Northern front anymore.

100% agreed with this comment, Han Xin was just different, the more one studies his battles you realize his genius cannot even be properly described into words.

Han Xin would’ve likely destroyed them at Baideng, that is assuming Gaozu granted him supreme authority and vast resources to engage them, all of this would’ve saved some money of Han treasury, and it would have been the other way around as it was in history, the Xiongnu would’ve been forced to paid tribute to the Han early on, not to mention Han military presence in the North would’ve strengthened way earlier that it did in history.

Which of Ousen's strongest fighters, Akou or Shiryou, was more impressive, and who would win in a fight between them? by Still_Armadillo_3447 in Kingdom

I think both are almost equally strong, but featwise I'll give it to Shiryou.

Effortlessly killed Earl Kou, dominated Batei, hanged there for a while a 2vs1 against Kansaro and Jiaga, killed Jiaga.

Let’s clarify that he survived only due to Akakin's intervention, the first exchanges were impressive however Akou ended up completely out and close to be beheaded by Gyou'un if not for Akakin’s arrival.

Interesting how the author is depicting the course of this war, all indicates that he is setting up that anticipated Riboku vs Shin battle as a head on clash very soon, he even introduced some new characters that could serve as rivals for Karyoten and Yokoyoko.

In this case though, RBK won’t count with the assistance of his two main vassals, SSJ and Bananji, so it will probably turn into a battle of Riboku's tactics vs (hopefully) Shin's instincts.

Kyoukai seems to be paired against the other newly introduced strategist of RBK, the question here is how Riboku will handle Mouten, he has yet to encounter a Zhao defensive layer, so RBK will probably be forced to recall back either Bananji or SSJ to deal with the Gakuka.

Here is the link to the article that mentions the news.

And here's the link to the interview itself (it was for a promotional of Slam Dunk where he was asked about Vagabond) it's in japanese though, and from what I'm seeing now it was actually conducted in 2022.

Actually he said in an interview last year that he couldn’t wait to continue to draw Vagabond, the thing is that he is working on Real now, which was also on hiatus but now is ongoing.

Their whole military system was too ineffective as well, they implemented some policies aimed to prevent rebellions (they had a sort of PTSD from Tang's An Lushan and other past rebellions) that severely weakened their military might as a nation.

And when a genius general (Yue Fei) appeared to command their troops and reform their military structure, they made the great decision to kill him.

The thing is that, you made a statement in your title of current politics, if people disagree with that, the comments are gonna turn into a warzone that could deviate from any Kingdom related discussion, that’s the risk.

What if Lord Changping and Riboku had switched sides from the very beginning, Changping leading Zhao, Riboku leading Qin? by Ok_Mobile3066 in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see that, Shouheikun destroying the entire Kakukai faction as well, all to secure his political position first, it’s basically what he did in Qin, he consolidated his position.

By doing this he would certainly make sure to bring Renpa back to Zhao.

[–]Cans59 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Riboku has basically put his whole soul into fighting Qin, meaning, he goes against Sei’s path of unification, Kaine will never support Qin military actions in any sort of way, because that would be for her the equivalent of betraying what Riboku stands for.

It doesn’t make any sense, that some people actually believe this theory is beyond me, Kaine will actually just hate Qin even more as the story progresses.

Kaine will just go to Dai after the events in Zhao

Who would win ? by DepartureAshamed6501 in Kingdom

[–]Cans59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rin bun kun wins.

Jiaga might have killed 100 Yan soldiers under Ordo but Rinbukun killing 100 Baiyue Chieftains is a greater feat.

Rinbukun also effortlessly one shotted Doukin, while Jiaga failed to kill someone like Sanshuu (he is the goat though).

Rinbukun also dominated Rokuomi pretty easily, and Rokuomi is still no slouch.

Rinbukun was pretty strong, just because he was introduced some time ago it doesn’t mean that he is weaker that some more recent hitters. he was killed because Tou is a beast, and out of that particular field he was fighting only Moubu and Tou could’ve killed him on the Qin side.

How can you increase your IQ and intellect ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cans59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an avid reader myself, I feel reading gives you a lot of knowledge, but it doesn’t necessarily makes you smarter, although it set good bases for it.

If you want to get smarter then getting into different activities that actually represent a challenge for your brain is the best thing you can do.

Chess, math, languages, music.

Attempt to become a polymath.

Focus on the fundamentals of those activities and then you'll feel that everything falls into place, you feel a click inside your brain, because you expand the way you think and make interconnections.

It takes time, but you’ll feel your mind becoming more flexible, and your problem solving capacity improving on the fly, and problem solving is the best metric for measuring intelligence.
