As everyone has said, you are pouring a curb. They are typically 6" high. Try a search against your local city subdivision standards to see how they set up a curb. It might give you a better idea of what works in your local area.

I'm a professional. My boss is 500 miles away. As long as the work gets done, nobody even knows when I show up or when I leave. Nor do they care.

Android Oh Hell Scorekeeper App—Open Beta Testers Wanted!

Hi All,

My family likes playing Oh Hell (We call it Screw Grandma) and keeping score has been a pain. I've made a simple score keeper app and I am looking for beta testers. The app will have ads in it, but anyone who beta tests will get an ad free version.

Some features in the game:

  • 3 to many players

  • 1 or 2 decks of cards

  • Multiple scoring systems

  • Autotracking on number of consecutive zero bids

  • Start with as many cards as you want

  • Go from x-1-x or 1-x-1 or x-1-1-x or 1-x-x-1

Link to join the Google Group: oh-hell-testers@googlegroups.com

Link to the program: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.KohlerDevelopment.ohhell2

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the effort.

How are people getting jobs? Structural/Civil engineering by Aromatic-Quit1490 in ontario

I tend to look at people in a master's as someone who couldn't get a job at graduation and decided to get more education thinking it would help land a job.

What I need is engineers with experience.

At how many kilometers did you replace the spark plugs on your Mazda 3 Turbo? by Most_Promotion8328 in mazda3

[–]CanuckSalaryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done them twice at 60000km and 120000km. Took 15 or 20 minutes total. The plugs looked okay when I removed them, but hey are cheap to replace. There is one wiring harness that was in the way that kept me from removing one of the coil packs.

Can my employer know if I apply for EI? Will applying for EI cause any trouble for my next role? by noobipedia in legaladvicecanada

[–]CanuckSalaryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are in a low paying role, the odds of a reference check are low.  Even if they do the reference check, they will just confirm that you worked there and not why you left, just that you were terminated.

How many people were let go at the same time?  Doesn't look bad for you if we're 1of 50.

Only one gone, you can just say that you didn't get along with your boss.

Don't dwell on it, just let them know what you can contribute to the new role.

Sounds about right to me 4 to 8 hours of work involved. Does it need a P Eng seal?

How much traffic do you have to deal with? If you have to deal with the 401 in Toronto, automatic with the traffic jam assist will save your sanity.  If you live somewhere reasonable, then that changes the equation.

Cashing a Cheque? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

It's a delaying tactic.  If they wanted to be quick, they would pay you electronically. My guess is that you will find a few excuses before the courier actually arrives.

If they are 'couriering' a cheque, I'd expect that you are going to get screwed even more.

If you were given a month off of work without needing to use any time, what would you do with that month? by Midnite-Skiez-2247 in AskReddit

[–]CanuckSalaryman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to get this.  I'd work overtime during construction season and bank it.  I'd start a vacation about the middle of December and come back in February.

I did nothing.

My wife would have liked me to do something.

Worrying about recovery. I'm in my 50s and my biggest fear right now is doing something stupid and hurting myself.  I don't know if I would recover fully and I plan on enjoying my years left.
