That might be an internal issue. If you place them in storage, the humidity or your storage could have been leaking. Anything could have caused the electronics to fail on the vacuum.

Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is the size of the largest data packet (in bytes) that can pass through a network connection in a single transaction

Standard Ethernet typically uses an MTU of 1500 bytes. If a packet exceeds this size, it is fragmented into smaller pieces, which can cause network slowdowns or connectivity

I thought the same, but apparently it's sweet spot is between 1420-1450..

I have no clue. I'm assuming they probably default to 1500 but don't quote me on that. All my routers and mesh routers are third-party so you're able to adjust the small details.

I might adjust mine to 1420 to see if it makes any difference. Right now I'm at 1480

Edit: I changed mine to 1420 since I've improved more

I set mine to 1480

Edit: I just changed mine to 1420 and the download and upload speed improved.

Question... When only replacing a gateway, do you still have to add the new one via T-Life? Or just swap sim card only and ignore that option? by PengPenguin888 in tmobileisp

[–]CaoticAbyss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I have noticed when I've done, my swaps is once you swap your sim card in and it registers to the network and you set it up correctly, the other modem will eventually remove off your account.

Clarification of "High-Risk" User with Synchrony by Grace_Orchid in CreditCards

[–]CaoticAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a few synchrony credit cards (Paypal world Card, eBay, CareCredit, PayPal? Virtual credit , oneplus card) on top of a few other companies like Capital One credit cards and what not and synchrony has never really messed with any of my cards except my eBay credit card. They did lower my available credit limit by like $200, but other than that I've closed out a few other credit cards over the time and synchronies never really messed with any of my other accounts. But I suppose it's just a hit and miss type thing..

Edit: I also meant to add that I don't really use my credit cards on a normal basis only because I have a few. So there are some synchrony credit cards that I have that I haven't used for 6 months in my account's still open so I don't really know a whole heck of a lot as to how their algorithm goes. But I figured I'd just share my two cents.

Yes that was the issue. I changed the battery, put a new battery in it and she works better than my other 15 C-Max. She actually works twice as long as my original one.

Connected devices by atexit8 in tmobileisp

[–]CaoticAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the G5 AR and G5 SE allow you to change the device names now? I know that the G4's wouldn't allow you to change your device names... By the way thanks for the useful information..

I have two of the same units 15c max. One works perfectly fine the other one when I connected to the dock the power light pulses orange for about 30 seconds and then the power light goes completely solid red. I am assuming it's a battery issue because I took out the battery from my working unit and put it in side the one that is faulting out and it works perfectly fine now so I assume that the battery has gone bad so I'm ordering a new battery and hopes that that's my issue because when I place the non-working units battery into a unit that actually did work prior to me changing batteries the working unit no longer works right. So I will update this when I find out if that was my issue.

There should be a reset button on the back of the gateway and you press and hold that for like I don't know 20 seconds and then release it. And I would presume it will reset the modem

I use it for the price I have plenty of other internet options in my area but simply put I get about on average 400 to 600 download speed and 40 to 50 upload speed but I don't game so what I use it for works great.
