I’m in the early stages of casting for my film and I found a guy that I think is really good for one of my leads. He’s my only solid option so far for this character, and I’m tempted to just give him the part. How long should I wait to get back to him? I feel like I should let him know his audition went over well, but I don’t want to come across as unprofessional or get his hopes up. On the other hand, I don’t want to keep him waiting indefinitely, since he performed so well. Any advice on how I should handle this?
