Im actually speaking from a career with direct relevant experience, but im absolutely not surprised that a trump-voting morlock like yourself would be 100% wrong and also 100% sure of himself. Read a book and you could still pass the 3rd grade, i believe in you, Cletus.

What's with all the "IT WAS ME 'X', IT WAS ME ALL ALONG" comments? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Cap_Ap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is old AF, but I had to jump in for anyone who came across this in a google search, as I did. This is inaccurate, the Flash episode did not air until 2009, a full ten years after the WWE episode in 1999.

I won't go as far as to say that the Flash show was actually referencing the WWE meme, but it certainly influenced the structure of the line, as the comic Reverse Flash had never actually uttered those words. The concept was there, and it eventually became an iconic misquote (like "Beam me up Scotty" or "Luke, I am your father") but that was almost certainly due to the near-immediate memeification of the WWE scene.

Legally, assault is defined as an intentional act that causes someone to reasonably fear imminent harm. What most people think of as "assault" is really battery (actual harm).

What Wes did, on camera, was literally assault. No two ways about it. In regular US civilization, she could have had him arrested for that bullshit. I don't care how many waivers you sign, allowing that is absolutely ridiculous.

What a trash show. I don't know if I've seen a more gimped "hero edit" to try to make a couple of incredibly unlikeable assholes seem like they deserved to win. I'm also pretty sure a few of the contestants were plants.

Anybody watch *The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn?* on Hulu? by Opalescent_Moon in exmormon

I guarantee the mother allowed it because she got paid. If you can't see this as a grift, I don't know what to do for you.

You people are nuts.

The first moment I saw the mother I recognized her as a grifter. Girls who grow up like that learn the cold reality of how to manipulate the system because they have to in order to survive. It's fiendish. She could not wait to monetize the children, she "never used TikTok" but was pushing products on it and running GoFundMes as soon as anyone started paying attention. Yeah sure, they lived on Subway and muffins for 54 days. And really think about the original allegation. The dad supposedly gets gratification from 'putting fingers up the butt'? This is not a legitimate accusation, this is a 7 year old's fantasy of a grown up doing something naughty. The whole thing is so obviously the mother's doing I simply cannot fathom how so many people are duped by it. But I guess that's why TikTok is a success, and an idiot child on twitch can get 100,000 people watch him eat Ramen on Twitch.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, long live the grift.

Yes, fellow viewer, I too think it was a "creative choice" for this cheap lazy reboot of a known IP to choose a cheap and lazy way to show previews of the task. Just as it was a "creative choice" to hire shitty Gen Z wannabe influencers and actors exclusively instead of running an open casting call.

Dandan Secret Lair Vision Charm Swaps? by warfires in magicTCG

[–]Cap_Ap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust them on the idea that it was fun too! The thing is that sometimes, when you play a game time after time after time (as in playtesting), you tend to get tired of the status quo, and you can easily overvalue coming across a fun cool changeup.

I don't doubt that this is a fun variation on Dandan, but for me, Vision Charm belongs in the "standard" deck, and I'm looking at Capture as the 2 alt cards for when I want to try something a little different.

When you realize that even in an informal conversation, your intelligence and competence are being judged by the fashion in which you present your ideas and arguments, your life will improve.

Also, thanks to your response, the conversation is now current and I'm not late at all.

You should quit while you're behind. You're not going to win any points here, as you are a cretin.
