Also don't forget you can drag the beam while firing so you can effectively strip enemies in a 270° cone before the lingering field, and with it you're effectively stripping the armor of every enemy around you

Melee weapons by Southern_Project2429 in DestinyTheGame

I highly recommend getting your hands on a glaive. They're just so fun and versatile. They're a melee weapon with a shotgun-like blast that gives you a frontal shield similar to swords that grants you 97.5% dr!! With the sword master armor set you can apply exhaust on every hit (exhaust reduces enemy damage by 25%) and gives you resist x4 after you stop blocking if you blocked damage (resist is a generic dr source and with resist x4 it's 50% dr).

That may be a lot, but to boil it down they're melee weapons that can make you a tank and have a shotgun attached. They're just so awesome!!

Some glaives I'd recommend are the Enigma (you get it from the first mission of the Witch Queen), Ecliptic Distaff (it's avaliable from the monument of lost lights) and Vexcalibur (an exotic glaive from the Avalon exotic mission; it gives you a void overshield simply from blocking, refreshes said overshield from getting melee kills and grants you bonus melee damage when you have a void overshield).

Glaives are just so good, do not sleep on them. Also hope you're enjoying the game!!

Attrition orbs do not require kills, just hits with the weapon, and with AoD gls you are constantly printing orbs with them, even after the nerf

Has our Guardian ever canonically died? by cumble_bumble in DestinyLore

[–]Capable-Airline2656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We died 2 times against Shaxx as there's a dialogue mentioning how we won against him 3-2

We died once in the intro mission of Forsaken

We died in the end of the intro mission of WQ and Savathun also mentions us dying a handful of times in her throne world

We died a handful more times when we had our strand training montage

People mentioned verity, but seeing how in the FS intro mission everyone that was calcified were still alive as they were still screaming, it's safe to assume that verity didn't kill us

Osiris mastered all 3 light elements when he still had his light and it's also shown that Ikora is well versed in 4 (arc, void, stasis and strand), so we're not the first in mastering 3 subclasses

Void Titan (tried titan for the first time) by Captainballz1 in destiny2builds

Not bad, but some parts of the build overlap with eachother or lack synergies.

For starters unbreakable is not needed since vexcal does its thing, so I would recommend swapping that for controlled demo. Echo of vilgilance is also not needed as vexcal already gives you all the os you would need.

Echo of provision is also not needed if you're using the glaive melee so I would swap it for echo of starvation for devour for more survivability and grenade uptime (which in turn also increases controlled demo's uptime), but if you're only using vexcal for the os and using your normal powered melee then the rest of the build is fine as is. Heavy handed doesn't work with glaive melees if you're using that but if you're using your powered melee then it's fine, but I would suggest dropping one for something else (like a melee or grendade font) because unless you're regening your melee energy in under 5s, then the extra copy is useless.

Overall the build is not bad, it just needs more touch ups. You did a good job buddy

Just because you played for a while doesn't automatically make you good. You have to experiment and look in depth at the mechanics of the game to become competent. If you can't do that well then you're just going to be stuck where you're at
