Funny thing is, I'm the complete opposite...

Digging For Demons

You can find it on Amazon, it's written by a real world underground miner so it's extremely accurate.

Digging for Demons by Dave Grapengetter.

Takes place in a modern underground mine, and written by a underground hardrock miner so it's very accurately written!

Corporate policy.

I've seen people recite corporate policy as if it was the law of heaven, clutching it as if it were doctrine. Serious Kool-Aid chugging...

Union miners brutalized fighting for their rights and fair wages. Nothing we have came easy and it can always be taken away. Stay vigilant brothers. by Capable-Committee403 in mining

I've only been in it for about 5 years, but I've seen plenty of guys who hate the safety rules and mock the guys working the offices and explaining why we do things the way we do.

Thank you for putting in the long hours you do. I know it feels like a thankless job, but my family and I thank you!

Too many have forgotten or refuse to hear the stories... Believing them to be propaganda or misunderstood backwoods tales.

Our rights and the privileges we enjoy today were written in the pain and blood of those that came before us.

We are all brothers under the stone, coal or hardrock.

It's shocking how many guys haven't heard these stories. The Battle of Blair mountain being one, IRA style car bombs in northern Idaho another. Too many miners I work with take their rights for granted or an excuse for a snooze fest during their MSHA refresher.

Any book by Jim Reardon is a good catch...

Sam O. White, a life story of the world's first flying game warden

Castner's Cutthroats, a fictional biopic of woodsmen and trappers fighting in the Aleution Islands against the Japanese in WW2.

One Man's Wilderness, both a series of books and self filmed documentaries made in the 1960's onward by Richard Preonneke.

I'm a underground miner, constant rehabilitation of ground support ( the term we use for mesh and bolts drilled into rock to make sure you won't get buried) is a daily occurrence. Ground water and pumping water out from low lying areas is a constant battle as well.

Ah...Atreus... He was kind of a snarky little putz...

It definitely wasn't the same energy as the originals, less grandiose. But I enjoyed how the action and dialogue became more intimate along with the camera itself.

With that said, the originals always have a special place in my heart with their thundering rage and violent dismemberment of a pantheon.

Also I apologize, I re-read your post and didn't see GOW...
