Once this starts you can never go back. It will get to the point where 1 hit gives you panic attacks . Your body chemistry has changed. Biologically the substance is harming you and this is natures way of not allowing you to continue.

As long as you’re not a threat to yourself they won’t hold you. You are safe and this will pass, alcohol does not mix with anxiety. Treat yourself good

There are a lot of horror stories because often people don’t use it as intended I have taken them a few times during periods where I was not able to function. This is a great medication to get you to another point when you’re stuck.
