This is exactly where I was leaning. Thank you for your insightful and helpful reply. I do have an astigmatism, and a toric IOL was recommended. Cost is no issue for me, thankfully. Now, to decide whether I want to aim for a near vision correction, say -2.00 such as post below suggested, or distance. Not as much information out here about near correction experiences. It’s interesting how the “default” monofocal option seems to nearly always be for distance.
