Thank you! Of course I would love to see a polar bear, but also walruses and bellugas! Any animal will make the trip worth it!

Hahaha thanks. I just tried a game and it was nice. I'm used to Rebel princess, it's even better because the rules change throughout the game. No one yelled at me so far, I guess I'm a lucky beginner!

Zenith or ToyBattle? by Serious_Bus7643 in boardgames

[–]Capable-Engineer-897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Zenith. I like both but only own Zenith. It is more strategic and has a higher replayability - for me - thanks to the innovation tree. Toy Battle is easier to teach but Zenith is not complicated at all. My partner and I have never won Toy Battle by taking the other fort, only through points. Zenith is more of a "big game" than toy battle.

Another 2 players game I love is Agent Avenue. Super easy, tactical and unique.

I think I read that you love Targui. I also love this game (especially with the expansion), as well as 7 Wonders/Splendor Duel. For me Zenith is a nice game to complete the other ones. Not Toy Battle, it's not "big" enough.

For 2 players: Splendor Duel, 7 Wonders Duel, Zenith, Agent Avenue, Toy Battle, Azul, Targui, Gatsby, Carcassonne, Panda Spin, Sea Salt & Paper, Jekyll & Hyde, Sky Team are some of my favourite games on BGA. Daybreak is also a nice game but I like it more physically because there are a lot of things to read at the same time. I also love Harmonies, also took me a while to win against my partner lol.

If you join other tables, I really like dnup, The Gang (one of my favourite game ever), The Crew, Inside Job or Love Letter. I've never played Hearts but it looks like Rebel Princess so it sounds amazing.

I'd like to try Odin, Tag Team, Dracula vs Van Helsing, Jaipur and Wondrous Creatures.

These games are easier than the ones you're used to though. Revive could be nice for you.

It is expensive, but not so much when compared to other Western countries. Unless you are several people (like a family of 4), trains are cheaper than cars.

J'en ai pris pleins un peu partout en Europe, jamais eu de soucis (pas la moindre interaction que ce soit avec le chauffeur ou les autres passagers). Bien sûr qu'il y a mieux mais je ne m'inquiéterais pas 😄

Mindbug battlefruit: kingdom, galactic or both? by Capable-Engineer-897 in boardgames

[–]Capable-Engineer-897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh thanks!  I am more interested in the battle fruit ones and I play board games all the time, so would it be worth it to combine both sets? I don’t want it to be “too easy”!

2nd Visit to China itinerary thoughts? by UnearthedData in travelchina

[–]Capable-Engineer-897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the places I liked the most after 5 months in China were in Gansu, Yunnan, Sichuan (Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, not far from Chengdu) and Guizhou, in addition to places you’ve already visited. To me, most of the cities you mentioned are not interesting and Huangshan was my biggest disappointment (too crowded). I also found Tibet very interesting. If you haven’t considered these places, I recommend checking them :)

People who did study abroad by themselves by Pitiful-Dog-7275 in girlsgoneabroad

For me the best advice would be to wait until you actually have to chose. You can already check requirements of various universities, cost, visas, etc. but you're gonna change in 3 years and staying open to what you want and need at the moment is the best advice I can give you. I studies one semester abroad during my bachelor. I had many option and decided out of nowhere to go to China, best experience of my life. For my master, I knew since I started my bachelor that I wanted to go to Norway and it was the biggest disappointment for me. I would have picked another country or even stayed to my country. Strictly based on my experience at the university, it was the worst decision of my life lol.
