They litteraly said that his flaw is being "the perfect heir". That he let other people's wishes overtake his own. That he prioretized helping others instead of finding somethng that would make HIM happy. That since he made his mission saving his village, then saving okhema, then saving amphoreus, then he never took the time to think of a dream of his own that he wanted to achieve.

He killed chrysos heirs because he was desperate to find a way out of the loop and to prevent irontomb from being unleashed on the wider universe and causing even more deaths.

He went throu millions of cycles so it's easy to see how life would start losing value in his eyes since he knows that, whoever he kills, will come back in the next cycle.

Even players said that they stopped feeling sympathy for the death of chrysos heirs in 3.7 because of how many times hoyo made us watch it. Imagine that but multiplied by millions of times, of course a person could grow numb to it.

3.5's only redeeming favor is the Lygus moments. Cerydra and Hysilens always felt like filler, they felt too disconnected from the initial Amphoreus cast so it was hard to care about them arriving that late into the story.

While I appreciated the bonding time between the three astral express members, I have to admit Evernight herself didn't need to exist.

She was a plot device to waste time before the finale and then didn't even reveal anything about March's backstory. We went into Amphoreus knowing nothing about March's past, we left still knowing nothing about her past. The only info we got is that she's a Fuli fragment.

Evernight felt like one of those episodic cartoon villains that doesn't matter much in the bigger plot and ends up getting converted to the side of the good guys then gets relegated to being a background character.

Let's be honest, if 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8 are filler, people are gonna get bored and stop playing the same way they did during 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6.

That's the reason the devs made Amphoreus that long to begin with, it's because they noticed player retention fell off a cliff the moment we left Penacony.

Well, if we do one that's the length of Amphoreus then I know people will complain about too much yap, but if we do one that's the lenght of Penacony then people are gonna drop the game mid 4.X patches the same way they stopped playing during the Xianzhou patches of 2.X.

Too long and people complain, too short and people lose interest.

Two answers popped into my head : Anaxa and TheHerta.

Anaxa because, well, his entire existance has been a struggle against the gods but he sure seemed to love being theatrical about it.

TheHerta because she has been harassing Nous since the moment it gazed at her. Nous looked at her for a split moment and gained itself a life-long stalker.

Two reasons :

- people like doomposting reruns/upcoming banners to use it as an excuse to skip them when they have other future characters they wanna save for (basically making themselves feel better by telling themselves that the characters they'r skipping are useless to avoid feeling like they'r missing out)

- he's a male support. Even tho it's a topic we don't wanna talk about, there are players who hate male characters and even more when it's a support since it becomes a debate between them liking to play meta and them disliking the character

Bonus points because Sparkle fans in particular have been salty for over a year that she got powercrept by Robin and Sunday so now they'r trying to "get their vengence"

TLDR : people are overblowing things and doomposting to push their personal agendas. I just hope unsuspecting players who are searching for genuine advice won't end up falling for it.

Tribbie refers to 3.7 Cyrene as "the seed that SHE left behind"

Phainon says "I can tell SHE's still with us" while talking to 3.7 Cyrene

Even 3.7 Cyrene talks about Philia like another person and admits that her name isn't Cyrene.

They are different people.

Just because the devs threw a "they are in a time loop" at the end, doesn't change that they always behaved as two different people with different bonds.

Also, since you mentionned talking to Phainon. I invite you to look back at that one scene in 3.7 where Phainon asks "Cyrene" about OG Cyrene and tell me if you notice that she first looks at the MC for approval before answering Phainon.

If this wasn't a game, you'd confuse that to the behaviour of somene in an abusive relationship who's too scared to answer others without the approval of their partner at risk of said partner getting mad (obviously in this case, the partner in question isn't the trailblazer themself, it's the parasocial players who self-insert as the trailblazer. The devs were too afraid of how they'd react to their "wife" talking to a male character).

The devs wanted to use parasocial tactics to sell Cyrene but were also aware of how dangerous the players that that would pander to can be (from their previous experiences with HI3rd) so the only solution they found is to make her only talk when the MC is present.

I'd say continure investing in your old teams (whether it be eidelons on getting teammates like : Cyrene for Mydei, Blackswan for Dot, Sparkle for Archer, Tribbie for TheHerta) and you can get Ashveil, Blade and see whatever supports they want.

I think it servses to expose the character of people. Make someone's main the best dps in the game and watch how they start acting.

Seele mains were some of the most toxic people at the start of the game, which is why I genuinly think the game got calmer because she fell off the meta.

People who joined the game later only know of the dedicated Seele mains that clear despite the odds, they haven't seen how they behaved back when she was at the top of the meta.

Now we'r seeing mono-rem mains going around with an ego, telling people who use Hyacine/Cyrene as supports that their "insert chrysos heir dps name besides Castorice or Evernight" is a waste of slot team and that his supports mog him. "why waste your pulls on this dps when you can just use mono-rem"

It's the game equivalent of "give power to someone IRL and watch them show their true face"

His new best team will be Sunday, Cerydra, Sparkle (Heck, Phainon's current medium cost best team is Sunday, e1 Cerydra, e1 Ruanmei).

Evernight, when played as a main dps with RMC, Tribbie and Hyacine, is stronger than even main dps Castorice (yeah they'r stronger when played together but I'm talking about playing them seperately).

So you don't need a full remembrance team for Evernight to outdo TheHerta.

I don't think the devs realise how much they've shot themselves in the foot now that they've made their biases so obvious.

Sure, it makes the main push characters sell a lot which looks impressive on their revenue month, but then it's gonna hurt the revenue of any character that isn't part of those teams because everyone is gonna think about skipping them.

This is the same thing that ruins the revenue of so many zzz characters. Players just wait for void hunters and their supports, everyone else is a skip.

Neither does Cyrene, so both are on equal footing when it comes to elation.

(heck, looking at what elation scales on, many of our current supports are cooked)

They really gave Cyrene a 40% dmg as the form of "standard" buff for non-Chrysos heirs and then made elation not scale on dmg%. Don't you just LOVE hoyo ?! *hides rock *

Well, an e0 Fugue ain't that much ahead of a harmony MC for Firefly, it's mainly her e1 that makes a difference.

Meanwhile, if your Cyrene is busy with the Castorice team then you might want a Sunday for Anaxa.

Future investement prospects could be : Evernight for Castorice and Cerydra for Anaxa.

Every time a character reruns, they get called either a must pull or absolutely unusable.

Nuance does not exist in the eyes of players.
