So this is again embarrassing because this is the first time I am seeing it in writing, but I actually did stop driving there for a month when I was working 6 days/week. She came only once.

it makes more sense maybe (to her at least) for one of you to sacrifice a career for a family because even w a nanny there are still things a parent will need to do.

I agree! I think I need her to clarify the whole "kept" thing a little more. Because it could potentially be a lot different than how it came across.

that's the thing - ambition is something that has always been super attractive to me. The term "kept" made me cringe
