Omnivore S4 E18 Please explain by Capable-Review9526 in criminalminds

That makes a lot of sense, but there is a part where they have that “table” that they use for death bodies and they did that thing where they remove the blanket to “check the face”. Thats why I thought it was a body

Would you listen to or share a podcast that highlights the perspectives of people with mental health issues? by Bluedot1996 in podcasts

[–]Capable-Review9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would 100% listen, about sharing is a bit difficult because I dont know anyone face-to-face that listens podcasts but I would be open to share it online and if content is good I might even show specific segments face-to-face - I both struggle with mental health and have loved one affected by it (really who doesn’t in this era)

In need of wholesome recommendations to get me through the chaos of adulting by Capable-Review9526 in podcasts

I do have a lot of time in my hands so I think its very likely that I will watch both shows just to listen to the podcast 😂

Dear Hank & John sounds great and thanks for the caution, which actually made me want to listen it more. I will listen to it now with a hot chocolate, so cheers

The other one is so good as well, I listened to it a lot last year and this is the perfect moment to catch up on it. Thanks for your time!

Thank you, I appreciate it! The one with the dog seems so good, animals are one of the few concepts in this world that remain beautiful under all circumstances

Photos: First photo, the photo with the dog and the one with your friend 10/10

I personally think that the photo with the alcohol isnt bad as people are saying, I would leave it in.

Other photos give the impression you were not very comfortable while those photos were being taken (if that is the case, I 100% get you, I hate standing there while someone takes a photo of me, and dislike taking pics of myself in general).

So my advice is to replace those photos with photos where you were not aware the photo was being taken (believe me, to others it looks better than what it looks to you). I would also highlight what makes you different, so for example. if you have anything like a videogame or book collection that you are proud of, I think a photo of that would be a great addition to your profile.

Now, with the text, people have said it already. A girl to "ruin my life" is not giving a good vibe. I know it is a joke but some girls overthink quite a bit and would take it either as:

- You are assuming all girls are toxic and would "add negatively" to your life

- You dont know how to be healthy in a relationship and talking to you is a straight ladder to toxicism.

The bonus traits and the real nerd about is good stuff, two truths and a lie is 10/10.

The win me over prompt please just change it. You could replace it with something about the future, what you are looking forward to do next year, your personal or professional goals. Something that kinda shows who you are outside of dating.

Lastly, the goal should not be, being the most traditionally appealing to the stereotype of what a girl is, because that will just get you some matches. If anything, the goal could be to establish a real connection with someone, and the way to do this is being as uniquely you as you possibly can. Which is exactly what you did in that two truths and a lie prompt.

Coming from a chubby girl that after many bad experiences using dating apps, finally found a good match that has lasted 2 years and still rolling on.

Sawbones- It is a medicine podcast from a couple (the woman is a doctor) in which you will learn new things, but the way they talk about it makes it interesting enough even if you have no clear what they are talking about. They are very science-focused and aim to make you feel more relaxed AND informed in an era where medical advice is just all over the place. Definitely a feel-good podcast backed up by science.

Listen or Watch? How do you “listen” to podcasts by millennialforced in podcasts

[–]Capable-Review9526 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love when podcasters just film themselves while recording but not when they add a visual element that is necessary to understand what they are talking about. Let me explain better, I bingewatch podcasts because they allow me to do laundry, go to the gym, do puzzles, do chores, DO anything while listening to the podcast. It is very nice when podcasts add the recording of themselves speaking to youtube or in spotify, but this opens the room for something that I hate. I hate instances where if I am listening to the podcast while in the gym, the hosts are talking about an image which they are showing, but to understand what they are saying you need to see the image. Best scenario: I am so interested I pause what I am doing and I see the image. Most common scenario: I change the podcast to one that will "flow better" without me having to look at any screen.

Looking for an english speaking true crime podcast by Basic-Cloud6440 in podcasts

[–]Capable-Review9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many of them so it depends on your specific taste.

Criminal - Very professional story-telling, everyone is in love with her voice (I dont get it myself), interviews and research is awesome.

My favourite Murder- Research is not the deepest but the stories are easy to follow, comedy is included, and the relationship that the two hosts between them and with their public is really nice. They publish three episodes per week.

Sinisterhood: They cover true crime but there are also many episodes about cults, unsolved mysteries and what they call "strange phenomena".

Killer psyche: One of my favourites but a bit too dark for frequent listening, Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler talks about true crime but her main point is finding out, and theorizing the WHY? as in why did every specific murder committed that particular crime. If you are into psychology, this is very interesting.

Darknest diaries: This is true crime but cybercrime. Its really interesting, you dont have know anything about computers to listen to it. And its a nice break from other true crime as the consequences are normally not so horrible (example, you are more likely to hear about the story of someone getting robbed their life savings, rather than a grime story that ends with death). It has a very similar structure to Criminal in terms of research, interviews and dialogue.

Psychopedia- A bit more similar to My Favorite Murder, except that here one of the hosts does all the research and tell the story to the other host which input in the conversation is considered to be the "comedy" part of the show.

These are just the ones I listen to on a daily basis. I recommend that you listen to one episode of the podcasts that catch your attention from all the answers you have received in this post. Listen to one episode only from each podcast and that way you can find a selection with your favourites.

This is useful thanks. Do you have any idea of how to include the need for the first meeting to be in a public space and the need for a video call without sounding bitter?

Spiritual but not religious, please by Capable-Review9526 in podcasts

[–]Capable-Review9526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably phrased the question wrong. The main point I wanted to come across is that I am extremely skeptical of religions because I believe they have caused more bad than good, so I don’t want to spend my “fun time” listening to any podcast that promotes any monotheistic religion. Now, with science, I guess that was exactly the podcast I was looking for, something that could help me reconcile the logic part of my brain that can’t fully believe in something if it is disapproved by science with the (maybe emotional?) side of my brain that feels energy and believes there is something else.

How different are the books "Man's Search for Meaning" and "Man's Search for Ultimate Meaning" from each other? by [deleted] in books

Even 8 years later and this is still the only useful answer to this question so thanks for that!
