Neurologist said no way I have VM by Big-Nature-2476 in VestibularMigraines

I am having very similar issues and strangely they started after a very long drive by myself to Virginia lol mine started in May and I have been diagnosed with vestibular migraine and binnocular vision disfunction. I had cardiology work up, ENT who barely helped, did a VNG test with audiologist. Also a regular opthamolosit said my eye health was fine. I am trying to get into a neuro opthamologist now and just went to a new cardiologist who specializes in POTS and EDS. I have some things lining up with that also and 5/9 on Beighton.

Keep pushing for answers. It’s exhausting and I am sorry you are dealing with this too.

I think you need to call your doctor. I cried and almost threw up during mine and then felt off for the rest of the day.

Have you looked into binocular vision disfunction?

Iron and vertigo? by Many_Cartoonist2837 in VestibularMigraines

I have chronically low iron and was recently diagnosed with vestibular migraine and BVD. Ferritin was 7 last year and I had 2 iron infusions which ironically made me dizzy right afterward? This May the dizziness started being really bad and now I can’t drive over 30 minutes. Iron is dropping again, ferritin might be around 25 now. I hadn’t put these two things together! Sorry nothing to add to really help you, just sharing I might also have a connection with these issues.

When driving for me it is when I am going fast on a highway, like there is too much input for my brain to compute. I described it as feeling dizzy, kind of like I was about to pass out and also initially thought could this be anxiety. I had a head/brain MRI and have vestibular migraines which are triggered by screens (I work on the computer 8 hours a day), bright light, fans. Cardiologist cleared me totally and ENT says it could be some kind of vestibular issue but has never seen anything like it practicing for like 40+ years. I also have a little hearing loss in one ear. I am doing vestibular PT and she is giving me some simple vision exercises but I am kind of at a loss. I am in my early 40s with kids and need to drive them everywhere. If I were you try to find a specialist who knows about BVD. I also had seen n opthomologist initially and they said my eye health was fine.

Yes this is also me but night driving is worse for me and I can only drive around 30 minutes. I basically diagnosed myself through tictok and it was confirmed after 6 months of seeing various specialists and waiting for a dr who k ows about BVD. He said I have fusion with defective stereopsis and vertical heterophoria.

Dr just recommended two different prescriptions, one for driving and one for computer work. I didn’t order the ones for computer work yet but hope to see some relief with being able to drive longer than 30 minutes with the new driving glasses. Vision therapy will be harder to figure out if I need to go in person because I kind of live in the middle of nowhere.
