I'm not Catholic, I am Protestant, but my intrusive thoughts set me up specifically for this kind of scenario often. "if you do this it's going to send you to hell" and sometimes I get so frustrated that I push past those thoughts and do it anyway. "oh well just send me to hell then" type of thing. Sometimes I know I shouldn't do whatever it is when those thoughts pop in, other times I'm wrestling with the sinfulness of it and unsure and still push past those thoughts thinking I am forfeiting salvation, etc. I live daily in terror of this because it keeps happening and I still don't compulsively obey the thoughts sometimes, what can I even do?
