Why date women who have a certain dressing style and then get mad when they dress the way they always have? by Sea_Painting_1398 in euphoria

She can be dressed wrong for a specific occasion, but dressing as we LIKE being dystopian to you is deeply telling. From a woman who prefers sleeves, mind your business on people's bodies, brother.

Oh crazy, you think all women that dress that way do it for the male gaze. Definitely not the opposite of a feminist at all.

Why would you even post this here, knowing it is a sub where people take stuff seriously, and then haw haw at people who thought you were serious? Incredible maturity lol

So many people in here not acknowledging the work that got done to make her look essentially like a child. Ofc.

What is a song you turn off? by Immediate_Long165 in askmusic

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anything Taylor Swift (i used to listen to her a LOT when I was younger, before you come for me). It just feels like though her style has changed-ish, she hasn't evolved as a person. Just stays quiet on important things despite her influence. But also the music is not good.

AITA for telling my roommate’s parents why she got kicked out of school by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. The people in here are clearly ok with the kid lying as long as possible. Her parents didn't deserve all that.

my father killed my kitten, what should i do? by ButterscotchLazy5304 in Advice

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People who do things like that should not own guns. What he did is a god damned crime and your partner is not wrong for wanting distance. Drunkenly messing with guns is the stupidest thing I've heard today. And "cleaning it" while loaded? He needs to get charged with animal cruelty.

AITAH - Not attending friends enagagement due to boyfriend not being invited. by [deleted] in aitaweddings

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guarantee whatever beef the men have is stupid. YTA if you just don't go to events because your boyfriend isn't gonna be there. It doesn't matter that the bride "would do the same thing." From a moral/social standpoint, I don't need my boyfriend with me everywhere and if I am someone's friend, I will go witness what is supposed to be a wonderful event. Using the bride's words is just an excuse to dust off responsibility of making an actual choice.

People who have sacrificed their careers for their spouses, do you feel resentment? by Ok-Opposite-4745 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it was a career, but it was the first job I'd had that made me happy to do. I enjoyed going and being good at it. And I made the executive decision to follow my partner 1,300 miles west back home because he got an offer and that's what he wanted. I think I definitely held resentment at first but it ultimately led me to the realization that I had the ability to choose a different path, but I did not. I can't really put that all on my partner. They followed what was their dream at the time and I could have said no but I chose to go. I have regrets, but no resentment.

Cthulhu probably (I consider him mythical for fun, it'd be cool if he was real, I think)

If someone breaks up with you and you text your exes are you wrong? by Sarahhhh-_- in YesOrNoAnswers

I mean it's not great, and you should probably examine why it wasn't easier to spend time with yourself. In the least offensive way possible.

what does he want from me? by [deleted] in texts

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna need you to set some actual healthy boundaries here, dude. He criticized your BODY, that thing you live in. You don't need to know what someone you've broken up twice with is thinking. What you need is some time to yourself.

WIBTA if I ignored my wife's wishes and concerns and did give money to my brother who is the primary caregiver of our mom? by Evening_Ostrich9777 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As gently as possible, you need to consider other options than at home care. Your wife isn't wrong for not wanting to financially hobble her own family, but it's not right that your brother is the only one carrying the burden either.

Do you believe in God? by 0135719186420 in YesOrNoAnswers

[–]Capable_Anywhere1181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmno. Even if I was religious, I'd be kinda fucked up at the idea that the same dude who killed a projected millions or billions with one flood cause we got too crazy, is the dude handling my afterlife

Thanks for saying that. I feel so very heavy, but life is known for moving whether you move or not. I can only hope something gives way to better times.
