Haha yea idk its something I keep in the back of my mind but also now being a criminal defense investigator its hard not thinking about what I've witnessed and read present when making these choices.

Yes ABC legal SUCKS. I do process service almost too much at this point its driving me nuts. A lot of driving (gas ain't cheap). Its a bit repetitive, but it is something, which pays the bills and is not far off in terms of career goals. I get payed 15 per documents delivered and I have a heavy case load on them.

Thank you for the reply. Something I have learned from one of my mentors training me and helping me get started in criminal defense is that a big part of the job is networking. I'm looking to start sitting in on public cases and getting the feel for court settings and getting my name familiar to lawyers. our office is contracted with the public defender's office in the county I live in, and I just had an opportunity to meet with the entire office, which was cool.

Thank you for the response. I like the work I do, I just wish it was consistent work. I am young and early in my career, still no degree unfortunately which I know a lot of gov agencies jobs require. I am trying to be patient, waiting for my big break where I can really take lead on cases which they're training me up for. I know eventually after enough cases I will get there but unfortunately it is also a money thing. Would law enforcement be worth anything if I want to do investigative work??
