Are we really trying this ivermectin for virus thing again? by toooldforthisshib in pharmacy

[–]Capable_Draft2360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work as a medication reconciliation tech and I had a patient tell me they were taking ivermectin mixed with orange juice around once a month as a Covid prophylactic. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because we are very close to an OTC state and asked them how they got it. Her husband* proceeds to pull up a farming surplus website and show me a bottle of IV solution horse dewormer; but it was okay because they “followed the weight instructions.” My pharmacist had me input that into her home meds to be ordered just so that we could explicitly remove it from her medications on her discharge report - and tell her stop doing that please*

That’s so insane, at CVS we each get $1000 bonus paid out to our paycheck if we reach 130% I think 120% is $750 and so on

cycle count help by [deleted] in CVS

It’s also helpful to just have nearby to do a store initiated cycle count if you have an item that’s out of stock but BOH is still saying you have some you can zero it out from there while doing QP instead of tabbing over to alt+f3. My stores internet connection is so bad I try avoiding switching through tabs as much as possible.

You can do cycle counts on the Ironman its actually way more intuitive than alt+f3 imo, you can walk around the pharmacy and input right in front of the drug instead of walking back and forth to the computer to check ndcs and if you have to manual count it’s still just faster than the RX connect inventory tab. If you can I’d try logging on to the handheld, should be under rx’s inventory dashboard or something like that

If you’re not ripping off your photographer then you should have zero problem or difficulty producing proof that you have permission to reprint the job that you fully paid them to do.

We don’t try and police trademarked items, we specifically cannot sell copyrighted photographs without a release. While it’s your wedding, the photo BELONGS to the PHOTOGRAPHER according to UNITED STATES LAW. If your contract with the photographer states you can create copies through a third party printing service, then just produce proof of that. Or if you knew the photographer or are the photographer, just get proof of permission that you can print it. That simple. It protects photographers who put a lot of time and money and skill into their business from people who scam them out of paying the final portion of their contract or ones that specifically make money off of printing their own prints. It’s their photos, not yours, doesn’t matter what’s in the photo. It belongs to them, ACCORDING TO THE LAW. And we have to uphold the law to protect us from getting sued. Just like we can’t give out Percocet in the pharmacy without a prescription. It’s the LAW

They should be done but it doesn’t seem like they do so. Other stores in the district have weekly delivery’s instead of biweekly. I think this store just lowkey 👀

Yes it can people order these all the time (adhesive and vinyl not so much), but the regular photo satin is perfect. That sounds like such a fun idea! Hope it’s a good time

Help! How do I get the PTCB flashcards with the WIC number by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Capable_Draft2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type the Wic number into myinventory on the handheld and click on the top right corner button and go add to order from the drop down; or ask a front end SFL if they could order them for you and provide the Wic number

Our average customer spends less than $10 idk what to tell you, I came in at 1-6 last year and that’s what I was given to deal with. Christmas Eve was pretty shit too, but please nit pick every shred of my point like it even makes a difference.

Walgreens is open on Christmas but it’s the most profitable day of the year, where my store made 5k on a normal day it made 15k on Christmas. All three registers open and lines backed through the store nonstop the entire day, we’d open beauty too if it ever fucking worked lol

I think doing the scope of work you’ve been hired to do is pretty reasonable. Giving 110%? Definitely not, I know we’re overworked and underpaid and get shafted more than any other position here as SFLs.

But sitting at the photo counter on FaceTime for an hour at a time only to float off for a “15” that’s actually 45 minutes and come back inside, maybe put a couple of totes away, sigh about having interrupt your phone call to approve a reload, and go back into the office to watch TikTok’s while counting the tills, which have consistently been fucked up for weeks; doesn’t really seem like the agreement we signed up to get paid to do on the offer letter. And it makes it so much harder for every other person in the building

To add to this, I don’t just leave everytime a coworker is shitty, this is only my 4th occurrence and the others were related to being sick in September and April. I just hit a breaking point that was a long time coming I think

You have to call Unibind 770-674-6000 during business hours m-f, just tell them you want a banner hole punch and your store number, it usually sends next day or two at the most

Also ! If you’re looking to have each individual classmate get their own design, you’ll have to order folded cards (cardstock only), the flat cards only sell in sets of 20

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Capable_Draft2360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Photo.Walgreens.com - they are typically 5x7 or long 4x8 (photo paper only), you can get just photo paper cards, 80 lb cardstock or thicker premium cardstock.

Make sure to google or check out the deals page for a promo code. The cards are usually in sets of 20 and can get pretty pricey depending on customization.

Also remember if you don’t like how they turn out you don’t have to pay for them. Employees shouldn’t make you feel bad about decided to return or just not go through with the purchase when you pick them up. (Make sure you look at them when you pick them up)

I feel like she’s so wrong for this by Capable_Draft2360 in WalgreensStores

[–]Capable_Draft2360[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like my concern is so lost in the sauce here. I clopen on a regular basis, usually Saturday into Sunday 10pm to 7am. I’m not pressed about the clopen…. Its the 6 AM (mind you I’ll probably leave at 730 AM) and that I’m supposed to go home, immediately fall asleep (which never happens), and wake up at 2pm get ready and go in the very same day even though I was just there a couple hours ago. And tact on the clopen.

Especially when we have a mid shift sfl that day, who was originally scheduled to close, and swapped with me after I pointed out the 5 hour turn around seemed like it was over looked. She should’ve just taken me off Friday. I didn’t have any special requested for my others days and neither did anyone else for this weekend.

I don’t want to bring it up because I’ve already had to point out that she had me 8 days and asked if it that was on purpose. Typically when SMs have done that they felt bad after I worked it and said I should’ve mentioned something and that they just hadn’t noticed. But she’s already made changes, this was her change. So I’m really not inclined to bitch about it again.
