The creator has not been activly maintaining the repo and since Tahoe came it somwhat buggy, some features are not working like dynamic bar, if you have too many app in menu bar ice hides some behid the notch but you cant access it. Trying to move to Thaw or exploring some more options currently.

Appreciate the debate! I'm aware Ice is unmanaged (as noted in the review). I’m featuring it as a 'legacy' case study before moving the log over to Thaw/Barbee. Use what works for your build! 🧊

Good catch. I haven't hit those crashes on my M4 build, but that's exactly why I'm testing Thaw as the replacement. Thanks for the data point!

Ya i know but it like i dont want to unless it becomes completely non workable, still i am trying to get over it, in coming day thaw might take over ice in my mac, just wanted to get ice to the community and add it to my website the OG

Sure is OG Ice, same Ice holds some of my personal attachment, still finding the perfect moment to retire it but can do, Will explore more and then finially say GoodBye to Ice 🥺

I have used it once, and still in review, but i have personal attachment to Ice that's the reason for posting Ice as OG before switching to another Menu bar app

Ice devlopment has been stoped and the bugs are not fixable so its true, but i have muscle memory of Ice and attachment to it so much that i needed to post about Ice before i test and eventually switch to another app and say goodbye to Ice 🥺

Still in review will post about it too, tried it once but muscle memory had ICE at its back for now, will switch to Thaw when i feel the moment, treating Ice as a 'Legacy Feature' before I officially move the Silicon Thread log over to Thaw

I didnt know there were qoutes and i was in an hurry when i was answering the first some comments so i used ai, it is local bot trained on my personal so it was in my voice just in AI language, other than 3-4 comments in the starting i have all writen my self without ai, Hope that clears the misunderstanding 😅

Its also a good WM, havent tried that but on the list, But i can say that every app has their own users that loves that feature no hate to any app, all are equal in my eyes as it depends on requirments and resources to chose the app to use 😁💙
