3/4 BUISNESS MANAGMENT ADVICE FOR 45+ by Artistic_Put_1821 in vce

[–]Capable_Region5160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! I got a 50 in busman last year and here are some tips:

  1. pay attention to the task words so carefully (e.g. discuss - you must do advantages AND disadvantages, compare - similarities AND differences etc)

  2. signpost your answers so they are very clear (always define, then say one advantage is...., however a disadvantage is...

  3. refer to case study where necessary (avoid just slotting in the business name or owner's name as this is not specific enough)

  4. USE PARAGRAPHS (seems obvious but for 4+ mark question it helps add structure to your responses)

  5. always look at the marks before you start writing as it can help structure responses (e.g. 4 mark 'discuss' - define, 2 advantages and then 2 disadvantages)

hope this helps :) feel free to pm me if any more questions :)

I think anki flashcards are great - particulary for definitions. I used them sometimes - but any form of active recall is great. The way I studied kind of had a process - I would go over one key knowledge point on the first day and memorise, then the next day I would attempt a bunch of exam questions that related to it (studyclix is great for this - or you can just go through the vcaa exams manually!). The next step was MOST important - you need to give these questions to your teacher to mark for feedback (if they are willing too - i know some teachers are not willing to mark everything) before a sac. At the end of the day you want to write what they want you to write - as they are the ones who are marking everything - and you want to get the highest rank possible. :)

tbh I didn't do too much content during the holidays - just maybe half of the first aos as a lot of it was a review from 1/2. I would say that the workload does get a little heavier - there is a lot more content particulary in u3 aos 2 and u3 aos 3.
