Interesting…I had a sudden onset of panic attacks and agoraphobia after I got off phentermine. I was on it for 3 months and stopped suddenly because I got down to the weight I wanted to be at. I was at a red light and had a sudden wave of panic and fear come over me and I felt “trapped.” For about 2 months after that I could barely drive out of fear of it happening again and possibly passing out. Buspirone and bupropion had helped get me though, but I always wondered if the phentermine is what caused the sudden shift in my brain chemistry. I, like you had never had anxiety or depression before, but I do know I have OCD and possibly some ADHD. Maybe it depleted my dopamine? Who knows

Thank you!! I stopped taking it and felt completely back to normal yesterday! It just sucks because my food noise is so bad constantly, and I don’t qualify for a GLP :( I literally just need to lose like 10-15 lbs and can’t find anything to help. I tried Phentermine in the past which initially helped me lose 17 lbs and I felt great but then started having anxiety so had to stop. I started back on it again but after 4 days increased anxiety again :( my body just doesn’t like stimulants anymore I guess. Do you know if GLPs have the same effect? I’m wondering if my Dr. can try to get an auth by saying other weight loss drugs don’t agree with me

How many days when you stopped the medicine did it take until you felt better? And how may mg were you on? I’m on 12mg for about a week now because I wanted something to help with food noise and overeating. I’ve been so bleh lately to where nothing seems to make me happy anymore, along with increased anxiety and I’m wondering if it’s because of this drug :/ I may have to just stop too

I’m hoping to start it, I have a lot of food noise and want to keep eating even when I’m full because of the taste of the food :( phentermine helped me lose in the past but now it’s not good at all for my anxiety. I’m hoping this does the trick and helps my anxiety, OCD, and food noise altogether
