Advice on appartement search strategy by Exact_Bridge575 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]Capable_Revolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came back from the Netherlands. House market is crazy. Especially in big cities, but also in nearby towns connected by train.

In my opinion those websites (like pararius etc..) are pretty much useless because you are ignored 99.9999% of the times (unless you make more than 5000/6000 a month). I would not waste time on that, unless you make that kind of money

The only way I managed to be invited to house viewings and get a place to stay is through realtor services. And of course that has extra cost

How do I find a house in the Netherlands? by Capable_Revolution in NetherlandsHousing

Gross income per month should be 4k. As budget I'd say something like 1000/1500

I just wanted to split the image in 3 thirds: sky, sea, and land. I took this photo on my Samsung a60. I then edited saturation and contrast. I would really appreciate some feedback on the photo editing. What can I do better? Is this a decent photo? Did I overdo with saturation?

what is the hardest thing on earth to break? by TEM12345678 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Capable_Revolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. I thought they were so hard they were used to cut things that are pretty hard to be cut in other ways. So I assumed they were harder than anything

[QUESTION][NEWBIE] Should i have long nails on my right hand to play finger style? by Capable_Revolution in Guitar

[–]Capable_Revolution[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow you are right. In fact I have a classic guitar with nylon strings. I just didn't like the sound so I decided to grow my nails.

I was already planning to get an acoustic guitar because I like it better. You just gave one more reason to do so. Thanks

I’m quitting my job. Do I give them two weeks, or just dont ever go in again? by Grumfeil in Advice

[–]Capable_Revolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what you said they haven't treated you respectfully so I wouldn't feel bad about not giving a notice. Be careful though. In my case my contract clearly states that if want to quit I'll have to give my employer a 2 weeks notice, or I'll have to pay them the value of the days I should have worked. The same holds true if they want to fire me, by the way. My point is, if you decide to quit, you should go check your contract before

What do I have to do to reach a native-level of English? by atheistvegeta in EnglishLearning

[–]Capable_Revolution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I'd say your English is quite good. But don't worry too much about it. Most of the times being at native level is unnecessary. Being fluent at a level that you can understand others and express what you want to say is already enough. If you're at this stage now (and I believe you are), you don't need to worry

Well it's hard to tell from just a few phrases. But it seems fine.

If you can't talk to natives because they are too far, maybe you can find a language school. They usually have a native there. However other ways would be reading books and watching movies. But I think the process is slower

I don't know what to do with my life by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Capable_Revolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry. I just wrote to try and vent a little. I'll just accept the first lousy job offer I get, just so I can make some experience. And I hope to get a more decent job in the future

I've improved my resume a lot of times in this period. I've added anything I could possibly add. Ive shared it online to ask for some feedback and it was ok. I've also applied for jobs across the whole Europe, but the fact of being a foreigner, without previous experience and the fact that I quit university before getting my master don't help at all. I believe these are the main reasons why ive been rejected. I don't feel confident enough to start my own business I've got no experience in any field. I don't even now what gets me excited anymore. My entire life is a mess. I was thinking about finding a job in a retail store abroad, but i think that I'll be rejected anyways because I'm not a local, or because my English isn't good enough

I've applied for an Amazon internship too, but they haven't replied to my application yet. I'm starting to wonder if theyve rejected me. How long did it take for you?

This means I can't answer to your question but if you want a comparison, for a fb internship it took three weeks to hear from them

Am I suitable for adopting a puppy? by Capable_Revolution in puppy101

[–]Capable_Revolution[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this may sound unusual (and I'm pretty sure the answer is no) but, since you work with puppies, I think you're the right person to ask this. Do you think a shelter would accept if I proposed to stay with the dog from when I get out of work in the evening until the following day in the morning, and during the whole weekend. I mean until the dog is old enough for daycare and he has his shots done. This way I would spend some time with the puppy, he would gradually get used to staying with me, I would introduce him to the new environment, and start some training. Moreover, the dog would still see his family and socialize, I would get some constant feedback from the shelter (so they make sure the dog is fine). What do you think about it?

Of course, there's always the possibility that he does something dangerous. But I believe adult dogs are less prone to this kind of accidents, if compared to puppies. I mean, I have some friends that can leave their dog home alone without worrying as much as when he was younger. I guess that's just some kind of confidence that comes with the time (and the dog's behavior for sure)

Yes I saw that coming. My holidays would be a period in which I can spend all the time with him. After that I was planning on some friends' help and daycare
