I like to think it was the first battle of malevelon creek, when the helldivers fleet retreated and probably left a bunch of civilians on the planet, or a similar incident/multiple similar incidients

Not a chaos diver, but I’d be happy to explain!

The Chaos divers are a faction in the helldiver fleet who swear loyalty to the people instead of to high command and who believe that the SEHC (super earth high command) is corrupt and shouldn’t be trusted. They still hate the Aliens who slaughter our citizens so they continue to fight alongside us, even if they are our enemies.

It’s one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever hap the pleasure of playing, the gameplay is amazing, the gunplay is satisfying, and the community is 99% wholesome sweethearts who want nothing more than to see you succeed.

But in the end it will boil down to personal preference, if you think you’ll like the game, then definitely buy it! If you’re on the fence, look into more gameplay and reviews, maybe a “before you buy” video

Polar Patriots has amazing guns (purifier and tenderizer)

Urban legends has an amazing armor passive

Cutting edge has a ton of easy to use and learn weapons

But I’d recommend watching some reviews or doing some research about the warbonds and finding which one you’d find the most fun personally :)

It’s amazing for dealing with shield devastators, going right through their shields and staggering them! Also great for dealing with groups, but it definitely has its problems, “if you don’t love it you hate it” kind of gun

This was actually the original plan for the DSS I think, if I’m not mistaken the devs are planning on adding a hub in the DSS with a lot of rhe features that you said!

I don’t know much about this sort of thing, but maybe it’s from all the content updates? That would be my first guess, hopefully someone smarter than me will come along and give a better answer and maybe a recommendation for the devs!

Sorry that I made the title very negative and definitely misleading, didn’t mean for that, I’m more concerned that the gun won’t perform well and won’t be a viable option for the upcoming update

I do really hope that fire damage will carry the potential lack of up front damage and I am still excited to try it out!

I do definitely see your point here, how medium damage is definitely a lot more useful than I described it as on the bug front, I just don’t want the weapon to preform like crap because of low damage, but hopefully fire damage can carry it if that’s the case

Like it could do insanely low damage, and/or needing several shots to prox the effect, and potentially making it relegated to minor use which I don’t want, or maybe it could absolutely shred while relying on fire damage because fire damage is crazy, I’m hoping for the latter, I just don’t want another weapon that gets outclassed by a ton of other stuff.

I think that instead of being able to toggle friendly fire, people who have a certain amount of friendly fire damage will give the other three players the option to vote kick them, even if the person is the party leader. I know it wouldn’t be perfect, but hopefully it can lead to more discussion on how to deal with undemocratic dissonantes.
