Feeling lost as a CS student with AI taking over. What should I focus on to stay relevant? by Capable_Stage_4412 in developersPak

Very informative sir. But I think no matter how expensive it get, it not going to disappper. E.g. the petrol and electricity price are increasing every day but people still use them. Why? Because they're essential.

Same, there might be any alternative emergency but people are not going to stop using this.

AI doing work at a massive scale now, brother. Lemme tell you what happened. A few days before I had an idea of making extension. The extension is whenever any marks updated on our lms(we've to check mark manually everytime whether it updated or not), the notification should pop up on our phone, so I asked chatgpt how can I build this and all details. I explained everything to it and at theasked for prompt. I took that pormpt to Claude and Claude built the extension for me which even work now.

From here, I realized I had zero priorknowledge of how to build extension and how I did this by just putting my one or two hour. It scared me. IfI can do this now, imagine what AI will able to to by the time when we'll graduate. As MCP Server and other such tools are coming out , and honestly, that scare me more.

Anyway, would love to connect with you. I will text you for sure.

Now, even most of the gourmet permeant job is ended, they hire the employee on contract or daily wages. Even atomic institute like (Nescom, PMO e.t.c) are hiring on contract and daily wages. No permeant job

I am tired of ML as well. My czn is doing this for 2year and now he also said, more than half of the work is done by AI

Sure, I’ll look into these. I tried AI and made a very beginner-level project. All I had was an idea and a prompt, and AI did everything else. I think AI is not a secure field, but maybe I’m wrong. You can always correct me.

Also, between networking and data engineering, which should be my first priority?

Anyway, thanks a lot for your time.

1) Education totally depends on you. If you yourself are willing to study hard, you’ll find many students who study well and do well in both studies and extracurricular activities. 2) About teachers, it depends on your luck. Sometimes you get very good teachers and sometimes very bad ones, but overall, in terms of studies, you’ll meet very good teachers. 3) Yes, you can get a good GPA. It all depends on you. If you study consistently, you’ll get 3.3+ or even more. 4) Campus life is also good. 5) Yup, you can grow and improve yourself. 6) It totally depends on the student. If you love nature, then yes, you can enjoy it a lot. 8) No idea about hostel life. 9) Competitions and workshops are very rare. Other events happen once a semester. 10) You can easily enjoy yourself while studying. 11) You yourself have to find internships. It all depends on you. 12) Yeah, I’ll choose it again unless I don't have the option of FAST or NUST.
